Just pointing out that sometimes the products you are using are not magical. It has always been a gimmick with paint sealant in the automobile business and their main ingredient is usually the same.Don't waste your money on the more expensive products and don't let a dealer charge you to do it for you with a lead in lifetime warranty. The warranty always just states if the product fails that they will reapply it for free.As long as you keep applying the supplied renewer that is included in the kit that they supply you LOL.
It is all good and I agree with Robert preventative maintenance is the key.Just trying to be informative and save you all some $$$.

Well, that's it. There's so da# much hype behind these products it's ridiculous. Many more advantages to the routine than the product.

I washed and waxed (paint sealer with random orbital then dry - then microfiber towel wipe off) the TV today while kids napped

I did only wash and spray on wax with my car - that spray on wax is great and I almost none of the stuff !!

Sealing the truck was much easier and faster than the trailer !!!

Pharm,

Griot's Spray Wax?

Folks scoff when spray wax is mentioned but I've used it for years with great results. Easy touch-up's over the sealer when needed.

Looks like you've got a great start.

Yep - I did use the griots product -"spray on wax"

Really impressive

I bought their spray nozzle for it too - really fine and wide spray - really impressed

Robert,

It's already in, you don't have to rub it.

Hi Bob,

I have been impressed by your detailing regimen and am a fellow traveler when it comes to detailing, especially my cars/truck. However, I do believe you have taken it to another level with claying your AS! I'm truly impressed. As you know, a clean AS, as well as a clean car, always runs better!

Believe me the clay bar only comes out when needed. The older I get the less inclined I am to start.

well can I have my cake and eat it too

We are taking our first small camping trip in the AS for 4 day holiday weekend this weekend...clean, shiny, and in use

PS - the one product from Griots that I bought that I was bothered by, was the tire cleaner (green liquid) - it worked just fine, but in doing 8 wheels, it used like 30% of the bottle - I may look for an alternative for that stuff as it will likely only last me 4 months or so I expect...or maybe I used it too liberally....

Pharm

Go the 303 route for protectant on tires and all things UV, just wash with soap dry and apply. I use it on all the roof vents plus the vinyl boat seats, good stuff.

Cheeper on Amazon. Walmart had it also, make sure the label is the same, they do have two offerings.

holy cow....that stuff aint cheap! although seems to be 15 bucks on amazon...whew...that is better than 30 bucks...

how long does a bottle of the stuff last you?

I would be hesitant to bother with the stuff on wheels as I read that it is not very durable of a product....so better for interior use?
