Olympic rivets go on pretty much like pop rivets. Same principle, back part gets fatter once in the hole. The difference is the center post breaks off above the head of the rivet. This gets "shaved" down with a rivet shaver. Its a costly item that shaves the rivet post and head to look like the original buck rivets on your trailer.
