You may be an airstreamer IF...
You can, at a moment's notice, glaze listeners' eyes with a detailed dissertation on the finer points of aluminum polishing.

I've done this for years now. Non Airstreamers, including my own daughter DO NOT sleep in my trailer, period. Things get broken and are expensive to fix . They still come to visit, it'd be a tad obvious what their intentions really were if they didn't come after being told they couldn't stay in the AS. But, nobody really understands. And that's fine with us .
I agree with you. After a few visitors stayed in the trailer it was obvious that although they really like it they also don't actually appreciate what is involved in properly using it. This year we managed to deflect users and I think from now on we will follow your suggestion. It makes sense and for us any opportunity to sleep in the 'cloud is appreciated.

You may be an Airstreamer if you see the shape of an Airstream in the clouds drifting past the den window while reading the forums threads.

You may be an Airstreamer is you have at least a few model Airstreams and other Airstream paraphernalia around your den

You may be an Airstreamer...
...if you own your RV because you really just "dig" it as much or more than you actually use it.

You may be an Airstreamer when you are making sure via your will that it goes to a family member you are okay with having it when you pass on..............

You can, at a moment's notice, glaze listeners' eyes with a detailed dissertation on the finer points of setting up a dual cam Reese Hitch including the proper weight rating of the spring bars.

OhhhhMaGawd . . . Does this mean I'm not all alone? By myself, on the porch at daybreak with a pot of coffee, or (still?) on the porch in the early evening with a long neck - it don't matter - looking out across to the barn, at the '03 Classic or the '54 Cruiser (no progress there, yet) and dreaming of being under the awning in some far away exotic place, flamingos in residence, nibbling on Marcus's BBQ, sipping another ice cold long neck and reading Frank's posts to learn all I need to do on the "fitty fo". Whew . . . It's sometimes a good thing - to not be "out there" all by your self. Maybe a tad sad too, but much better than NOT having an Airstream!!

Actually, I'm emabarrassed anyone can read my situation quite that clearly!!

If you shudder just a little every time you have to crumple up a nice, new, perfectly smooth sheet of aluminum kitchen foil.

You save some aluminum cans, not for recycling, but in case you have to rivet an emergency repair to your trailer.

If your idea of a "Traditional Christmas" involves an aluminum tree and a color wheel spotlight, You Might be an AIRSTREAMER!
