My neighbor who when his Wife and Daughter wanted to paint the bedroom he replied, "I absolutely forbid it". Of course when he came home from work the next day they had painted the bedroom. He told me later that he didn't care if it was painted, he just didn't want to do it himself.

And when one's daughter gets married, my Wife's directions to me were, the three s's. Sit down, Shut up, Sign the checks!

There is no "I" in the word "team," but there are four in "Platitude Quoting Idiot!"

"What was that?" as one of the tires on our Airstream started to go as we approached the base of the Mississippi River bridge just west of Memphis this past summer. Thank goodness for the Pressure Pro as it confirmed loss of tire pressure before it did any damage. We were able to pull off at a truck weigh station just at the base of the bridge thank goodness!
In dog years, I'm dead!

This one is true

An Air Force pilot was making "touch and go" landings where the plane touches the ground and the pilot adds power and takes off without stopping. Before each landing the pilot called the tower to request permission for a "touch and go". On the last landing something went terribly wrong and the plane bounced, flipped over on its back and crashed. The last words from the pilot to the tower were:

"Uhh, Tower, make that a full stop"

When we were boating with friends to visit another friend's cabin on Lake Saganaga, he turned to us and asked, "Does any of this look familiar?" Insert sinking feeling!
Also, "I dunno." Insert any child's name.

During W.C. Fields' career he often mentioned his dislike for Philadelphia (my hometown, actually). So on his tombstone he arranged to have the following inscribed, "I'd rather be in Philadelphia"

Heard in my call center where I manage 20 supervisors and 400 agents when dealing out corrective action..........
"I'm not a child and I am your child so dont treat me like one" Always said with a great deal of head movement and sass.

My latest? "Honey I won the auction!"
