The famous last words out of my mouth spoken to my wife which left me sleeping on the couch rather than in my own bed one night was: "Just what the hell were you thinking?" Spoken only once and never again.

My husband: I can already predict which of these lousy Goodyear Marathon tires is going to go next...

Unfortunately, he was right....less than 100 miles later!

my wife (self-admitedly) did something blonde (read "stupid") and I of course offered my sensitiveness to the situation..."well, you didn't fall far from your family tree."

Yeah, I was in trouble for not only insulting her, but her entire family...lasted about two weeks.

Years ago...

I had minor surgery on the inside of my lip. He put a couple stitches in and was done in no time. I was standing there making an appointment to have the stitches out and the last words I heard before hitting the floor... "Doctor we lost another one"

Ya know,

As I went through Jump School in 1995, and in all my time in the Army since, I have never seen a chute malfunction (Cigarette roll, Fail to Open, Towed Jumper). I do remember my 2nd jump in the course, and as we went to turn in our chutes, the rigger read my chute card, and pulled open my reserve. Seemed that it was 2 months past due on being repacked....let me tell you about nervousness.
