The local GM plant here in Northern NY is shutting down, the nearest Saturn dealer went out as did the local Nissan dealer. It's definately a buyer's market if you need a new car. Not a good sign for anyone in the business especially including RV's. Those guys are getting eaten by their floorplans. I expect the 3 locals to go under.
The catch now is no traffic coming in for the salesforce to badger!
The training video is a movie called "Suckers". I hate buying cars since I am typically on the receiving end of the "Great" deal. I am just not smart enough to do it any other way.
Yes.. tough times for dealers in general. If they had to borrow to stay in business then they are done.. if they own the store and can manage the inventory they might make a go at it till things get better.. then watch out.. the badger is back! they will have to make up for the lean times.. lol
The government wants GM to go into chapter 11, but may end up in chapter 7 with full liquidation of assets. This will kill the dealers, so the promise of government supported service will be moot if there are NO service centers.
