Lucie and Desi's (Ricky) Classic Movie "The Long Long Trailer" is going to be on the Classic Movie Channel (TMC) Sunday 6/22 @ 5:15 pm Central.
Check your local listings.
I have seen clips of the movie but never the Whole thing. I'm so excited I had to share it with you!
Kani, We LOVE that movie!!! There are some classic comedy routines in it. We own it on DVD and laugh every time we've seen it. Make sure you post your impression of it after you see it.

Yes, that movie has special meaning for me. As some of you know I 'imigrated' to California with my folks and brother in 1952. I was 14. We picked up Route 66 in Illinois and 'road' it all the way to Los Angeles towing a 26' Pan American trailer with our '48 Nash Ambassador. After a short stay in LA we headed to the SF Bay Area via HWY 1. Rte 66 and HWY 1 are filled with 'memories' (glad that I wasn't old enough to drive!). Anyway The Long Long Trailer movie came out a couple of years later. Dad and Mom herded my brother and I into the car (yes the old Nash was still running) and we all went to the movie theater as soon as the movie came to town. Although the 'adventures' of Lucy and Ricky did not mirror our adventure perfectly mom discovered that she could finally laugh at our sometimes scary journey. Yes, I do have a copy of the movie. When our son and daughter are in for visits I have shown it........but I don't think they share my excitement.
Neil.
OBTW; I guess we are today's "Lucy and Ricky' with our convertible and trailer rig as per some friendly comments.

VERY S.L.O.W.! We hope to have the water fixed by the end of the day and then we'll build a pedastal for the turlet and reset the throne.
Then it's on to the kitchen. I would like to have a sink and cabinets in by our Rally in Aug. That is the goal for now. . .funds run low things get put on hold. .I have to laugh when I think how I thought this total remodel would take 1 month . What a moron. . what a maroon!
Tell Diane I said hi. Hope to see you on the road oneday.
my provider in canada "bell' does not offer TCM...
I have not seen the movie yet either and by chance checked the local library. They had it at another location and are bringing it in for me tomorrow. It may be worth a try.
