Whip antenna? How barbaric!

For my money, you can't beat good honest leather.

And that was long before you could by them on Amazon, for Pete's sake!

No wonder the aluminium interior is popular and there is such an interest in replacing rivets! (shaved or otherwise)
"Spy Camera With RemoteThis spy camera lets you record high quality undercover videos wherever you go and without anybody knowing the better. That's because the spy camera is actually hidden and the extremely small pinhole lens is hidden within a rivet! So even if people are looking directly at it, they still won't be able to notice the extremely hidden video lens! "

Hmm... Looks like this thread has finally fallen off the portal page. Is everybody out following some of the suggestions here?

1. Have a supply of drugstore items for your guests to save on extra trips to the closest Walgreens. Be sure it includes any items young couples may need to prevent unplanned... results.

2. Some velcro is useful for keeping your favorite bottle of, um, massage oil from sliding around the bedroom while on the road.

3. If you travel in many jurisdictions, nylon climbing webbing (available at REI) is less likely to raise the eyebrows of law enforcement, customs, etc., than handcuffs. If you're bad with knots they make buckles and stuff.

4. When stopping for a brief, um, nap, be sure to wrap the safety chains over the trailer hitch so they don't rattle if the trailer should rock for any reason.

5. In most trailers there's at least one drawer in the bedroom with extra space behind it that can be used for storage of any items that might offend the sensibilities of any inlaws.

6. Place Byam hooks in strategic locations throughout the trailer. They're good for all kinds of things.

7. A well stocked trailer includes an extra set of sheets, so give the kind folks at AB lifestyles a call.

8. A wide variety of literature is available on Kindle for ease of portability.

9. Word to the wise: The shower massager is great but the water heater is only good for 4 minutes.

10. Bring extra flashlight batteries so you don't have to sacrifice.

Oh come, now. (As it were.) Why do you think the on-demand tankless water heaters have been so popular?

A wide variety of literature or more pictures than words, if needed, may be found on your smart phone... there IS an app for that!

Thumbs up

A discussion while towing the Airstream.

Topic, distracted driving, texting.
DW and I both agreed it was very dangerous.
Why?
I stated..."because your brain can only do one thing at a time."
"well I multi-task at work all the time"
"but your brain is still only doing one thing at a time...very quickly"
"I don't believe it"
"well... give me an example then"
"ok...do you think you can feel happy and sad at the same time?
"what do you mean...mixed emotions?
"yes... exactly"
"absolutely not, it's impossible, your brain couldn't handle it"
"well I think it IS possible"
"ok give me an example"
"well.... out of all your buddies, you have the largest penis."

Sometimes you just can't win....

Bob

I always heard: "If you can't be a good example, at least be sanitary."

Lends a whole new meaning to the expression "phone sex".

"2. Some Velcro is useful for keeping your favorite bottle of, um, massage oil from sliding around the bedroom while on the road."

Be sure to label this stuff "FILIFORM CORROSION PROTECTION" so that those dumb teenagers don't have a clue on whats going on.

"3. If you travel in many jurisdictions, nylon climbing webbing (available at REI) is less likely to raise the eyebrows of law enforcement, customs, etc., than handcuffs. If you're bad with knots they make buckles and stuff."

I carry my chains up front with some other little used items.

"6. Place Byam hooks in strategic locations throughout the trailer. They're good for all kinds of things."

I did not know for sure if this was a legitimate Airstream item or something I needed to know about. They are called elephant hooks and Wally may have been away ahead of us!
http://mellomikesairstreams.blogspot...-for-your.html

Byam Hooks
"These uniquely designed hooks are commonly known in the trailer field as Byam Hooks simply because Wally had them all over his trailer inside and out. Install several in your bedroom so that you have a place to hang those clothes at night which you normally wouldn't put on a hanger. Utensils can be hung on them, stretch your clothes line -- there are literally dozens of uses for this sturdy aluminum Byam Hook. As simple as they are, they are difficult to find."

This may lead up to a return to the "Bluebonnet" RV Park....where I was sent on a mercy mission to inspect an Airstream for a friend here on the Forums. Much to my delight it turned out to be a clothing optional park....and it was a very Sunny day. Not to say that necessarily leads to a thought of sex in the Airstream....but it sure helped.
