Completely not about sex, prior to living in the UK, I'd always thought the names in The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings were all made up for charm and cuteness. Imagine my surprise to discover that, no, that's how they often named things in Ye Olde Englande.

I have been dreaming about the special-editon Passionstream:
sensuous fabrics, a built-in wine rack, two-person shower, subdued lighting, Queen-sized bed with a hotel-like mini bar built into the bedside table (for the midnight snacks and champagne) two plush bathrobes for every purchaser etc.

Many Airstreamers (and potential Airstreamers) do not like hotel rooms because they are pre-used. They want the freshness and personal feeling of their own space.

In all seriousness, I think there is a viable market. Especially among the baby boomers who expect something above the rest.

Jackson Center.....are you listening?????

I'm looking forward to having the propane fireplace next to the bed in the Tin Pickle. Hmmm.. need a shelf for the champagne bucket...

Soooo, when I pick up the Bambino at the end of the month, I can expect something a cut above the Bugs Bunny hotel on Colfax, right?

Although, hey, I've got a fur throw and fur bolster ready - maybe I should have done the fur bikini to match?

Actually, we have three fur bolsters in our Airstream--they're called dogs.

(They're watch dogs, but we don't ordinarily let them. . .

. . . but they can join us for a nice nap afterwards. . . )

As an aside, I once costumed a production of In Perpetuity Thoughout The Universe, which features an actress wearing a fur coat doing a monologue. About halfway through, she throws it back to reveal a fur bikini. Our actress was a statuesque and perfectly proportioned brunette and I made the coat and bikini of faux mink.

One of the stage managers said he always took a deep breath before she threw back the coat, because the collective gasp of the audience would suck all the oxygen out of the theatre.

Me in a bikini would probably be more akin to the bathing suit scene in Borat...
