There is a hotel in Seattle; the big sign on the roof says "ESSEX HOTEL."

The whole city was in stitches when the initial "E" and "S" burned out, i.e.

"_ _SEX HOTEL"

Great question, Kevin. Speaking of units, I've always thought it was a bit disingenuous to include the balls when measuring our units.

And don't get me started on passing your bumper off as part of your unit's length!

I mean, we all know those extra inches aren't usable in a practical sense - it's only casually mentioned to impress friends around the campfire, isn't it?

Long story (a bit) shorter... if our wives were in charge of measuring - I think we'd be seeing a lot fewer impressive lengths around here.

And the numbers from the wives would be even different compared to those obtained if certain movie stars were in charge of measuring.

Dirty Old Men...reminds me of the old joke. What is the difference between a stick up and a hold up? About 20 years!

We're surprised no one has noted the importance of torque. It's all about the torque!

torque 1 (tôrk)
n.
1. The momentum of a force; the measure of a force's tendency to produce torsion and rotation about an axis, equal to the vector product of the radius vector from the axis of rotation to the point of application of the force and the force vector.
2. A turning or twisting force.
tr.v. torqued, torqu·ing, torques
To impart torque to.

(OMG - this thread has had me in tears! Thank you moderators for letting everyone have some fun with this! Life's too short not to have side-splitting laughter everyday!)

No, no, that's not true!

If you go to rallies, you will meet some of these folks and have to look them in the face or whatever!

There are a LOT of frequent fliers on this thread.

Rallies? Aren't those the places where everyone brings their units into a circle and talks about the best techniques for rubbing them to a good shine?
