Perfect Camping Music Playlist

I've got an i-Tunes playlist for those evenings when the fire is just perfect, dinner was even better, and a full moon is rising over my favorite after dinner cocktail.

Help me out. What artist + song would you add to that perfect campfire playlist?

Example:

Whiskeytown - Everything I Do (Miss You)

I'd have to say my first pick would be...

Shania Twain - You're Still the One

Perfect Camping Music Playlist

Sweet Georgia Brown and Alexander's Regtime Band by the Nuclear Whales. There are no vocals on these selections -- just the sounds of a saxophone quintet.

You've inspired me! I'm a huge playlist fan. Sometimes I make soundtracks for every special occasion, road trip or mood.

I started making a "campfire tunes" playlist last night... (I may be showing my youth here)

It's already growing past 20 songs, but it includes

Come Away With Me, Norah Jones
Can't Help Falling in Love, Elvis Presley
Secret Garden, Bruce Springsteen
Gravity, Alison Krauss & Union Station
I Believe, Blessid Union of Souls
What a Wonderful World, Louis Armstrong
Best I Ever Had, Vertical Horizon
This Year's Love, David Gray
I Could Not Ask For More, Edwin McCain

and
Love Me Like You Love Me, Clay Walker

which has these hard-to-beat lyrics

THere are no questions that we need to ask
every precious kiss could be our last
there is no future and there is no past
all we've got is now ...
Hold me close and love me like you love me.

Ditto to anything by Alison Krause, very earthy.

Might I add a couple Neil Young songs, Harvest Moon and Comes a Time (just envision the bright moon and the tall trees almost touching the ground)

I started this thread and got an error. I didn't think it ever posted.

Keep those suggestions coming.

Shake a dry gin martini with stuffed olives, sit back, and listen to this. Camp fire optional.

Anything by the Trailer Park Troubadores!

Guess my tastes run a little more whimsical & upbeat...

I've put together pretty much this same playlist multiple times, though usually it's for kicking back in the boat, tied up to some friends, floating in the cove, and watching the moonlight dance on the water...

The Eagles - Seven Bridges Road
Nick Drake - Pink Moon
James Taylor - Fire And Rain
Jimmy Buffet - Come Monday
Jerry Jeff Walker - Little Bird

Lots of votes for Norah Jones. She seems to be a consensus pick.

Maybe we should arrange a rally and invite her to come serenade us. Anybody know if she's an admirer of aluminum?

How about Rob Thomas (of Matchbox 20)-- My my my
John Denver-- Rocky Mountain High

It would just take one forums rally and Norah would be hooked like the rest of us.

My perfect camping playlist has now split into three thanks to some of your suggestions. One is a little country, one's more rock, and one is smooth jazz.

On that country/alt-country/folk-ish list I'm adding:

Over the Rhine -- Born
Thrift Store Cowboys -- Damn New Mexico
Shelby Lynne -- Track 12 (Rainy Nights in Georgia)
The Wailin' Jennys -- Old Man (Neil Young's classic)
Cowboy Junkies -- Walking After Midnight
John Hiatt -- Lipstick Sunset
