We named our '65 Caravel "Lucky". It was in such good condition that we felt lucky to have found it. We named our '83 Excella "Ollie" after the good friend who took such great care if it for many years, then sold it to us. His name is Olliver.

Since my wife is a Canadian retiree from The Dept. of Foreign Affairs, an I'm a US citizen retired from teaching, we deemed it right to name our motor home "Joint Venture" or "J-V" for short. Of course the way things are, we might want to be careful that the "joint" reference (reeference?) doesn't get the authorities' attention.
~( ' :-(0) Woo-hoo!

We are in the process of buying a vintage AS....once we make it all official, her name will be "WigWam." My husband is Native American...hence the name.

Not sure we are following the alphapetical order you suggested, but it is too late now. We call ours dirigible25, dirigible because of the resemblence (perhaps only seen by me) and 25 because it is a 25 foot Safari.

In addition to our motor home, we have a Turtle-Top Ford E-350 Van (homemade class-B) we use for short and point-to-point trips. Since it is BLUE, we call it "Our Blue Heaven".

Since we don't seem to be following the alphabet...

We call our new baby the "Desert Tortoise". We like the desert, and we're slower than everything out there. I am tempted to leave the left turn signal on all the time, just to keep them guessing.

No point naming it; it doesn't come when I call it…

Even though it's not real silver, we bought ours to celebrate our "Silver Anniversary" and have been celebrating in it ever since. So of course we named it "Annie" and while not very original, we should be close to first in the alphabetical order you mentioned.

My wife and I could not come up with a name and decided our 64 Trade Wind would eventually name itself. We were supposed to leave town with the Airstream on a 6000 mile trip the day after we got it back from getting new axels (and many other things). After working on it 12 hours the day before we were to leave and getting up at 5 am the day of our departure to put on the cabinet doors I had refinished, install the new beds and goucho, we still had not had it inspected and gotten license tags. After sorting out an unreadable vin, we got the inspection done and headed to get tags. This also turned into an epic battle, but received our tag at 2:00 in the afternoon with a 10 hour drive ahead. Our new license tag read 911 EPY. Since then, when she is doing bad things, we call her 9-1-1. When she's behaving well, we call her Eppy.

Ladybug - she's a '76 Argosy who lost her body paint but who has bright red end caps. Considering adding the dots, eyes and antenna. What do you think?

Go for it. A) it's a cute idea and b) it's your airstream!

We don't name objects. It's the "Airstream" to us, and that's about it.

Thumbs up

My wife named our 1971 overlander. Goliath. Because we went from a 12 foot 1959 Friendship to this.
Sooooo much more room.
