At any rate, welcome!

Send a message via MSN to safari57
Welcome.

You may want to ask the question on the Vintage Vacations antique travel trailer talk at MSN groups as well.

It has a broader audience than just Airstream.

Oh God, NO! What evil hath Bates wrought????

First, the Evil Gatesians now we have the Evil Batesians!

C'mon, MR ORV, you don't need AirRanch II, The Sequel. Let's try and come up with a promo idea for you that doesn't involve destroying old Airstreams. We can FIX THESE. It's what we do here...

How about a rotating replica View-Pod (ala Carlos) way up on a 50 foot high storm-resistant sign post?

anyone?

Wow here you are RV Oasis right next to cadillac ranch - that would be interesting.....You may find this group more wanting to see them restored rather than planted though.....

It would probably be a good idea to clarify "plant". Are you planning to permanently moor the trailers, or upend them, and shove one end into holes in the ground? One of our forums members owns an RV dealership, and has done this recently. He has met with less enthusiasm than he originally hoped, both from the RV communty, as well as local residents and code enforcement.

What a wonderful Idea! Putting all those old worthless, worn-out trailers to such good use.

Maybe we could get a franchise business going to plant vintage Airstreams at all the HOT tourist destinations. We certainly need one here in Norfolk, NY.
Who else wants in?
