Holy Christmas... I'm on my third beer and only to page 43 of this thread. I'm gonna have to make a run to ABC to get to the end... Crap, I'm going to have to dig into my coins saved for my new deep cell. Can I say that, Deep Cell? Sounds different at night - after a few beers. Isn't that a movie title? Or is it Deep Space? Space nuts? Or something space related. Ah, Space Camp. Yes!!! Score. Bore. Door. More. More beer? Cheers. Is that wine or beer terminology? Reminds me of a great cheer my girlfriend always says. It's kinda negative to the males. But I don't remember it exactly anyway. Her favorite movie is Space Camp.

What's on your TV right now? I'm embarassed to say "16 and Pregnant". But it's muted. Thankfully.

Laura

The rats come back to life. The rat poison becomes inert but if you should have the can, you can use it to bonk the rats over the head as they wake up.

So why is it that Canadians say "expiry" and we say "expiration"?

No, no, no,

Humans may crave absolute certainty; they may aspire to it; they may pretend, as partisans of certain religions do, to have attained it. But the history of science — by far the most successful claim to knowledge accessible to humans — teaches that the most we can hope for is successive improvement in our understanding, learning from our mistakes, an asymptotic approach to the Universe, but with the proviso that absolute certainty will always elude us.

"Spot on," she said thinking back, way back...

Our family grew up on space, not as some way off final frontier, more like just an extension of our back yard. We lived, breathed and ate space like daily bread.
"Dad, I need something for show and tell. Can I have a piece of the satellite to take to school tomorrow? And pictures too, I need pictures that show where it's going. Does it have a name yet?"
"I'll see what I can find for you. The name? GOES"

You grew up ON space? Is that like Captain Kirk? "No, I'm FROM Iowa, I WORK in outer space"? And where GOES the satellite you're speaking of? I have a couple of pieces of space debris, one from terrestrial sources, one from extra-terrestrial sources. I guess that makes me a space cadet.

We heard about space and spacecraft from my dad first thing in the morning till last thing at night. GOES is the name of the weather satellite my father designed.

It's just been too intelligent to come here."

Can someone tell me how you do those attached thumbnails like the one above. I'd like to know how to do that and also how to make a link to another forum thread. I checked in the how to departments, but couldn't find it.

Thanks, Carol

Not too tough. To upload a picture, choose the "reply to thread" option like you normally would. Scroll down until you see "attach files". Click "manage attachments".

Dang, computer problems at home let me try this again.
