Here in Possum Holler, it's generally referred to as "The Times of Recent Troubles" or the "War of Northern Aggression".
Jokes aside, costliest war in our history in more ways than one. 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address this past week. Went almost without notice in the press. Sad. Mr. Lincoln may have well have saved the Union with that short address.
Just my two cents.

I bought a Roomba a few years ago while I was on crutches for weeks on end. When you've got to use both hands just to walk, it's hard to use a conventional vacuum, but with a Roomba, all I had to do was lift my feet as it swung by my chair.
But the darned thing scared the cat half to death, and so the feline wouldn't come down from the top shelf of the bookcase while the Roomba was running. So how on Earth did they get the cat to sit still on top of one? Kitty tranqs?

I think it's probably a question of getting used to things. Would your kitty be OK with wearing a shark costume? How about chasing a duckling?
In the shot, the duck seems to have no fear of either the Roomba or the cat. Why? Ducky tranqs?

If anyone is popping pills here, I think it's the filmmaker and the dog. The duck is daffy, and the cat is deaf.

Dog says, "Hey Boss, let's really fool with the cat's head."
Boss says, "I'm good with that, go fetch the Roomba, boy"
Both, "heh-heh-heh!!"

That reminds me of something people I knew more than 40 years ago used to do with their cat—put him in a typewriter case and swing it around their heads and then let the cat out. A dizzy cat must be interesting, even funny—sort of like seeing seeing a self important person (usual cat personality) screw up something. I never saw them do this and I believe drugs were involved.
I've never tried this, though it occurs to me every once and a while when our cat (really my wife's cat) is making a lot of noise. I don't have a typewriter case that big and do not advise this, but if you do it, please post the video.

Poor kitty! Today it would qualify as animal cruelty.
...fun to imagine, though!

Okay folks, it's January. Not much camping goin' on right now. ALL of the threads on the portal page are extremely lame tonight. Even the Nudest Rally thread got boring. Anybody want to go over there and get a good axle fight started? Nah, the Mods'll slap our ears back for that.
Anybody got a humorous anecdote to share? I got nuttin'. The Holiday visits with the relatives sapped every last bit outta me.
HELP, I hate cold weather.
As always, I remain....

I'm told it's funnier if the barkeep says "hay"...
Ba dum!

What do you think?
There is debate in some scholarly circles about the geographic posturing of Oregon in the popular imagination: Is Oregon, Washington's Mexico or California's Canada?

Good Morning America!

"Scholarly circles?" do they have those down at the saloon?
Here's one for ya!
