respectfully disagree, Dark is faster than light. Notice how when you come into a dark room and turn on the light the dark leaves instantly but when you turn off the same light in the same room it lingers for just a little bit.

That effect is called reluctance. Your eyes like light and are reluctant to give up on it when it is gone. The dark arrives only when your eyes say it's OK. Both are considerably slower than the velocity of a 4-year old in a toy store... but I digress.

I.m glad you didn't say "women graze". That bovine comparison would've started a battle!

Dark is heavier than light—that's why it's called "light". We all know lighter things move faster, so light is faster than dark.

This may be called "endarkenment".

Yes, of course! dawn rises, while shadows fall. I should've seen that right away!

No wonder I move Slower at night. It's all that dark weighing me down.
You learn something new every day. Here all this time I thought this was a silly, useless, thread.

Hi Jim. We think alike. I've been trying to find the speed of dark for awhile now.
Still no luck. Glad to have company in the quest.

The speed of dark varies depending where you are, thus it is relative to object placement and size. On Earth it is around 1,000 mph. It is easy to see this from space where you can see the terminator easily. On other planets and the moons, it varies. This is called the Theory of Relativity.

I feel sluggish this time of year when the dark rushes in so early. It weighs me down and I have to go to bed early. The stairwell to the bedroom is very difficult because the weight of 2 floors of dark pushes me down and I have to crawl up the stairs (it does not have anything with something I may have had to drink). Measuring the weight of dark requires a Dark Matter Reabsortion Deflaminator Gauge, available on Amazon for $14 T.

That's at the equator. It slows down as your latitude increases, but it never goes to zero. It's hard to believe you didn't know this.

While technically correct, it sure feels fast around here.

I'm glad you found the rest of my post to be absolutely correct.

It no surprise that things related to dark are also quite rapid. "Fast asleep" is a prime example.

Y'all are a scream.

I think we need to organize a "Hijackers Only" Rally. The campfire skits and jokes would be like Bob Hope and Bing in the road movies. One yuk after another ala Vaudeville.

I guess we need to pick a site that would be central to all. Somewhere in the middle of the country...Oklahoma maybe. No wait....Normal, Kansas. On second thought, not with this crowd.

So that would be "sex outside an Airstream", or do you mean social discourse, of course? Takes course work to a new level.
