Filosofy

If I must nonconform, I am conforming.

Don't Fence Me In.

Where is Camus when we need him, or V. Monroe or DeCartes?

I am, therefore I think, or maybe stink.

Speaking of old farts, when was the last time you climbed out of the bed in the morning and nothing ached?

Woof

I was going to discuss American vs. Japanese vs. Japanese made in America vs. American made in Mexico trucks, but what's better, Japanese or American or Mexican or Danish or Canadian tow dogs?

A Great Dane is my favorite Airstream tow dog, but I admit a Newfoundland is low to the ground and has a good coefficient of drag and a lot easier than towing with a bike.

The emissions can be problematical.

If emissions are a problem change the diet. And no more raw meat!

Would you tow with one?

Puck, the Magic Drag-on

I'm trying to remember just when the Octopus boys won a Stanley Cup. Oh, it was 2002, the year after Colorado last won.

Of course, if teams with names like "Mighty Ducks" win the Cup (why aren't they called Mighty Pucks?), or it is won by teams in Florida and one of the Carolinas (North or South?), what has the world come to?

When the Minnesota North Stars moved to Dallas, why didn't they become the South Stars? When the NBA moved the Jazz to Utah, they kept the same name because they couldn't afford new uniforms.

Thus, SAT fans, Octopus is to Hockeytown as:

a. Jazz is to Utah
b. Maroons is to Montreal
c. Crème brûlée is to Santa Claus
d. Octopussy is to James Bond
e. Who cares!

Is a puck something to shoot into the net, or:

"Puck is often thought of as a mischievous nature spirit. However Puck is also a generalised personification of land spirits. Whilst being an aspect of Robin Goodfellow, he is also 'hob' and Will-o-the-Wisp.…Puck is in some traditions, a land fairy." (Wikipedia).

And I thought hockey players were tough guys. Seems they have a feminine side. Just think, the Anaheim Mighty Pucks.

I think a guy was saying something like that at a Boston game and hockey players begged to differ...

Shpeeking of strange names for football/hockey/baseball/etc teams.

Rumor has it that my alma mater has made it to a bowl game this year. I’ll be pulling for the “Rainbows” during the Sugar Bowl day after tomorrow.
