Newbie questions

Ya know...

The other day I went to Check my Nuts and found they were out of balance. I was going to schedule a visit to the shop, but I had a problem with the Timing. I then decided to Strip and refinish them myself. Do I need to Remove anything first? How do you go about Winterizing them? Also should I Change the Oil while I'm at it?

Somewhere I read I should also have my Tongue Weighed but I'm scared of doctors (the waiting room Music scares me) so I think I'll try some home remedy First Aid. Or would it be ok to visit a CAT scale and weigh it myself - is that ok even if I don't have a cat? I'm so Confused.

Ya'll are Angels for helping me with what ails me. I think I'll go put on my Red Socks and go to Bed while I await your Advice.

you have asked a very important and insightful question and we value your participation here at the Airstreamforums while you are search for your rivets may I suggest that your valves should be periodically checked for soft floors and mice that may damage aging parts of the frame and as insidious as that sounds it only reinforces the need to proceed with clear coat treatment for the seams and sealants that you have chosen for your project.

Thank you for continued participation on the forums - our members are our most valuable asset.

Well to get back on topic......(a few extra dots always help)

Could someone please explain how to fix the !#$%&*! ?
I am pretty sure it is a factory flaw.
There is a very strange smell emanating from the !$#&*!
and that noise is driving my neighbors crazy.
I have checked the forums thoroughly using the ever-so-helpful search feature and have googled my little heart out but alas, no luck.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you may have to offer.

Replace the univolt/Converter with a more modern version. The cost is nearly the same except, you will get much better control over the charging cycle because of the electronics. 3. Do number 2 and, replace the batteries with the AGM types. They cost more but...they will take a deep discharge and, charge cycle better. translated..the AGM is more forgiving.
It's very important to remember to disconnect the batteries when not in use.
BTW, AGM are sealed battery.

2Air,

You have a sharper eye and longer attention span than I do, that's for sure.

Keep 'em comin'.

And here's to all the clever participants in this thread. We should have double R. M. status by the spring!
