Oh, a "y" town! Ah, well, how about Yah-ta-hey, NM (which gives a "y" to the next person!).
Yah-ta-hey is a tiny Navajo berg north of Gallup. Not a whole lot there except for a chapter house and a some homes; there's a trading post a few miles outside of town. Total population is around 500, which makes Angel Fire twice as large!!
Pics are extremely difficult to come by for Yah-ta-hey. I sure didn't take any while driving through, and not many others did, either. In lieu, here's the wikipedia article:

Norwood, NY is a village within the townships of Norfolk and Potsdam, NY. Once important as a railroad junction of 1 terminating and 2 intersecting lines (an earlier village name was Potsdam Junction) Norwood's current claim to fame is it's world-class "Norwood Brass Firemen" band, and its annual “Norwood Village Green” summer concert series.
The Norwood Brass Firemen were the official US band to the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics, performed on the South Lawn of the Reagan Whitehouse, and played for both Ronald Reagan's and George H.W. Bush's Inaugurations. The group is the official band of FASNY, the Firemen’s Association of the State of NY.

See: Meet the Masters: Norwood Brass Firemen
The Norwood Village Green concert series is well known as venue for free concerts by top notch entertainers from around the world. The attendance for these concerts is thousands every summer. Many RV'ers take in these shows which are presented every Sunday and Thursday evening at 7:00 PM throughout the summer. See: Norwood Village Green Concert Series - 2012 Schedule
note:
I am a 36-year veteran of the Norwood Brass Firemen, and will be performing solo at the Village Green concert Series tonight (06/24/2012) at 7:00 PM.

Decatur, IL
A small city in Central Illinois that is home to several large corporations, but to me the most memorable was the Archer-Daniels plant that was about two miles from where I lived.
Eisenhower High School was where I worked, and was the view from my kitchen window while I lived in Decatur . . . .

Oh, Ramah, NM! Small town, fairly isolated in western New Mexico. Nearby is the El Morro National Monument, a really cool place with signatures carved into the rock from as far back as you'd want to go! And next to the monument is the El Morro RV Park and Cabins with the cafe next door where they make one really good green chili burger! Their pies look really great, too! Really, really funky people, too!
Here's a pic of El Morro:
And here's a link to the national monument:

"A" is for Aztec, NM! Aztec is a pleasant little town outside of Farmington/Bloomfield in NW NM. There's a pretty good hardware store from which we bought some plumbing parts for the AS, and a nice coffee and pastry shop across the street!
What makes Aztec pretty special is that it is home to the Aztec Ruins National Monument. The Ancestral Pueblan settlement there was not that large, certainly not as large as, say, Chaco Canyon, but it's still pretty respectable. (Essentially, it's a Chaco outlier.) The visitors center is quite good with fairly extensive exhibits, and the trails through the settlement are easily navigated. What catches the eye of many is the reconstructed Great Kiva at Aztec. I'll bet I'll be able to include some pics of it!

An "N" for Nambé Oweenge Pueblo (sometimes just called Nambé), just north of Santa Fe. Historically a familiar story with these folks: Probably descended from the Ancestral Pueblans, settled along the Rio Grande around the 15th century, conquered by Oñate, took part in the pueblo revolt of 1680.
Pretty well known now for their metallurgy, especially their tableware, sold in stores at the pueblo, in Abq and in Taos and just about everywhere else: Just found their wares on Amazon. Maybe I can find some pics.
Some of their stuff:

Tupper Lake, NY is an Adirondack township and village which is one of the three "Tri-Lake" villages of the Olympic region. The other two villages are Saranac Lake, and Lake Placid. Tupper Lake is the least prosperous of the three towns, but certainly as beautiful and less "touristy" than its partners. The lake itself is part of the Raquette River chain which stretches from only a few yards from the Hudson's source near Indian Lake to the St. Lawrence River near Massena, NY . Tupper Lake village is the location of the annual Woodsmen's Field Days which features traditional lumberjack competitions. This year the celebration is July 14-15. Tupper Lake Woodsmen's Days
Tupper Lake also has The Museum of the Adirondacks, "The W!ld Center". The WILD Center | Where The Wild World of the Adirondacks Opens Before Your Eyes
