Boat Doc, I agree.

Retired from the Feds, worked in the pension sector. Dealt with a never ending array of people in varying circumstances, often tragic, sometimes vindictive, and unfortunately on occassion, families were destroyed... greed, resentment, lack of respect. Thus my point in stating we should not agree to have threads such as this, that allow (and perhaps encourage) confrontation between generations.

New idea for the youngest owners of Airstreams!

Take your rants to Facebook, or Youtube, whatever, and let us grumpy, geriatric old people enjoy our vintage site.

Create one generated to those your age!!!!!!!

SCOTTY!!! Beam me up, NOW!!

Love Vintage - this site is not an exclusive "vintage forum" or only for grumpy, geratric old people (tho' I do believe YouTube has a subsection for 'em... ). It's for ALL Airstreamer's. The heading for the thread was a joke and not anything generational.

Personally, if it were strictly for grumpy, geratric old people, I'd be outta here in a New York second, (which is pretty fast for a southern boy...) or perhaps, join WBCCI (uh oh, bet that'll start something... ). I like the new ideas new people bring AND the sage wisdom that experience brings. It all make us think and makes us better in what we do...

I always wonder who owned the site and had the right to invite people to leave, I guess the mystery is solved. As a retired Fed myself oh never-mind.

Boat Doc your analogy of turning a nut counterclockwise is very interesting but as all mechanics know you may have to tighten the nut to loosen it.

Well at least you didn't call it the WBCII or The WBBCI or the WWBCI.Some of us actually enjoy the WBCCI but no offence taken

I'm almost 58 and I really didn't take offense to the title. I've been raised to respect my elders my entire life. I really had to laugh because we all have a knack of taking care of business and who knows why these elderly individuals decided not to sell to Darol. In his shoes, I would have been disappointed and would have wondered just like he did as to why they wouldn't sell for the owner. You move on with life, laugh a little and hope you learn from the experience. I see things from time to time that make me chuckle regarding those older than myself and realize that I will be there soon enough.

Seriously? Since when is there a minimum age to being an Airstreamer? We have dedicated forum members in their 20's. I'm 45 and far from geriatric. I also have a sense of humour (as do most of the really ancient people that I know).

This must really be the political season. Posts to this thread are taking the same negative attitudes as the the ads on the media. MODERATORS: Please try to kill this thing before any more people get their feelings hurt from misleading posts. I'm on to better things and other projects. The Holiday Rambler is doing fine, thank you. Darol
