Airstream Detectives

While surfing the "net", came across this picture. Photos of Forgotten Places. You will need to scroll down. I wonder how many facts can be gleaned from the picture itself
and the leads it provides to identify and find it.

Have fun--please post your discoveries!

Thanks for the URL. The photos are fascinating, and there are loads of others on that website.
Merry, Merry.

Where to start...

I'm guessing it's a 1964, probably 28 footer. Note the five panel end crown with a door in a door and tear drop running lights. 64 was the last year for the tear drop lights and door in a door and the first year for five panels.

Next, the WBCCI number is 2585, so one might be able to check the 1965 registry for owner, location, etc.

Merry Christmas,

Roy

If you click on the photographer's link you can read commentary on the photo. It has been photoshopped to some degree. To me, the WBCCI numbers don't look right and I wonder if they have been tinkered with.
Did a quick search on this forum and the 2585 number currently belongs to lbrodsky (Lew Brodsky) who has a 2001 27' Safari in VA. Wonder if he knows anything about the trailer in the picture??
