Pavillion

Talked w/ Mike & Lora this morning.

We're all in agreement on the pavillion.

Hope it's available.

A Success!

We just rolled in from the Blanco rally. We had 6 motorhomes and 5 trailers in attendance plus another forum member stopped by to say hello.

Friday evening, we had a tour of a local micro-brewery and a great meal at a local restaurant. Saturday through the day, we enjoyed the Xmas parade and the market days on the square. The ladies loved the small shops around the square. Saturday night, the park allowed us the use of a shelter that had been wrapped with plastic and we had a bonfire and a great potlock dinner.

Dropping temperatures drove us indoors about 9 PM. It went down to about 25 degrees overnight, but all reported being snug. My brass water regulator froze solid, but the furnace kept the trailer super snug all night.

That many motorhomes, huh?

Petermh must of been in mh'heaven!! How many Classic models?

I do think last nite was the coldest one so far this winter. I noticed frost on the rooftops and my truck.

I've still been lookin' for another Airstream, usually the dead of winter is the best time to pick them up so I will have few more months to wait. I'd really like to find a Caravaaner this time. The fella with the 1950 never called me back, I dunno, something that old sounds like a lot of work and I guess I'm getting lazy in my old age.

good times, great people

Back from Blanco, and just wanted to say we enjoyed meeting ya'll, had a great time, and looking forward to the next outing. Thanks to Peter for suggesting the rally. The ole 61 Overlander proved to be very comfy camping in winter sub freezing temps. The warmth and friendliness of our companions probably helped. The alcohol didn't hurt either. Mike and Becky

A special thanks to Peter and Cindy for getting us all together for a really cool rally with a great bunch of folks. Thanks Dennis for the chairs ! My hereos are Jim and Peter for the rescue in the Super S parking lot and getting us to the Brewery in time to forget about my engine problems. Hope all others get a chance to join us for the next one as this forum has some really neat people and it was alot of fun going around to members trailers and motorhomes and checking them out and getting some good ideas. Can't wait for the next one !

P.S. Thanks Jim for the ride to X-mas parade, lunch etc...

All 6 were Classic motorhomes.

It was 27 about 10 PM when some of the folks drove up to Johnson City to see the lights. My heat pump switched over to furnace and that is supposed to happen automatically at 24 degrees.

My water hose didn't freeze, but my brass regulator attached to the campground faucet froze solid and we initially had no water pressure. My awning was heavily iced and it was on the shady side of the trailer. I had to put it out to dry when I reached home.

Hi All
We had a great time meeting everyone and touring all the rigs. Looking forward to the next gathering. It was nice to use it instead of work on it found some more stuff to fix such is life with older trailers. Glad the furnace worked froze the water hose Saturday night.
Have 1 cookie sheet 15x10 unclaimed from the pot luck. Looking for it's owner to send it home. Jim

As first timers, Karen and I had a great time in Blanco. I don't haunt the forum as much as some of you so I hadn't found the string setting up the meet. Thanks to John for geeting us the word. Now I wonder if all the yellow (golden) dog owners were grouped together on purpose. We excaped the freeze and never went to the furnace so we found the weather comfortable. Thanks for the invite and keep us posted of future events.
