Please allow me to inject a longish post here.
All of you who are heading to this gathering are doubly blessed! Having spent most of my 67 years camping at Ft Stevens, I'd like to tell you that you are in for a treat. It is as good as the Oregon Park Service has to offer. You have forest camping, the beach, wonderful hiking and biking trails, fishing, and even your very own shipwreck. For the out-of-state visitors, please enjoy yourselves!!
The second thing you will enjoy is Shirley Valentine. It is an obscure British film, made in the late 80s, and was only shown on "selected screens" for a very short time. I thought I was the only one who even remembered it. It has always been on my list of my favorite top 5 movies. For those of you who have never seen it, it is an smartly written, brilliantly acted film that you will not soon forget. It is about a person at a crossroad of life that uses travel for self realization and reinvention. You can't get more AS than that!
So to all that attend, I wish you a wonderful weekend. I wish I were there.

Maggie was on her was to Greece for a solo trip and I asked her if she'd ever seen the movie.... this was posted on the forum so others chimed in about the movie... and it evolved from here!!! too bad you couldn't join us... thanks for dropping in... gail

Thanks for the recommendation, Mike. I'm driving a rented Class C, and I may not be mobile enough to get there for lunch. The less I maneuver this unfamiliar rig, the better. Sorry to miss the awesome burgers.
