That will be a big help for me. Thank you. Cooking is NOT my forte, and I end up scorching my rice as often as not which I can live with when I'm just cooking for one, but not when I'm doing it for a group.

Last rally we picked up no socks...
Folks hopped campsites all 3 days and visited in and out of airstreams all weekend! It was so causal and fun!
We all arrived as strangers and left as friends.

This is a laid back informal rally, I haven't made anyone name tags or stuff like that. With it being the second one, it's still a small gathering but I think those are really fun. The last October Rally several of us have made really good friends and I'm looking forward to meeting the new people planning on being here this weekend. We didn't have a set time for the open house, we just all wandered in and out and had a great time. I think that worked because it was a small group.

Ok = here you go asking for commitment , damn it Jim, the last time has cost me 34yrs.
Thurs. - veggie tray
Fri. - homemade marshmallows and fixins for smores
Sat. - bread pudding, broccoli salad, bread
Sun. - Pancakes, syrup (reg and sugar free)
We'll be arriving on Monday evening and leaving ten days later for Diamond Jack's Shreveport. Again, Matt I may need a loan to get home. If I win big time I'll cater the next get together!!!!!

If you are up for a shorter drive, Mrs HiHo and I will be camping in Vicksburg Thursday night. I'm probably gonna work 1/2 day Friday before heading over.
To bad we couldn't swing you a POV TDY to WES/ERDC, I'm sure the Costal Hydraulics Lab guys could round up a good tour on Thursday...

Been there plenty of times already. Last time was only about a year ago. They do put on a good tour.
Anyway, Vicksburg is actually out of my way for this trip. My route will be:
I-10 to Baton Rouge;
I-110 to US-61;
US-61 to Natchez;
Cross the river to Vidalia;
US-425 until it intersects I-20 at Rayville;
I-20 until it intersects LA-33 at Ruston;
LA-33 to Parish Park Road.
It's actually just under five hours behind the wheel, but I'm calling it six hours to account for lunch and fuel stops. Right up until the turn onto LA-33, I've driven that way before, en route to Lake Dardanelle last year.
Come to think of it, though, since I have all day Friday to get there, I might take US-80 in place of the I-20 leg. Little more scenic, little less traffic, but little slower speed limit.
