Pee Wee will be attending this year and holding question and answer seminars on the early history of the Airstream Company, the Caravans he participated in to Mexico, Africa, Europe and other places, and about Wally Byam, his first cousin, along with just about anything else that one might want to know about. We had two vintage rigs last year from Oklahoma and perhaps others in newer trailers.

I just missed finding out about this last year, and I'm definitely planning on attending in 2009. It'll most likely be my first rally of any kind, with my new to me Overlander. I'm really excited about it!
As for a Texas-Oklahoma rally, well, I'll be in Dallas on the second weekend of October, as usual. Does that count??

James is digging out his light rod as he usually fished for cat fish. We have never been to the Meramec Caverns so we are planning to check it out. We are going to get there on the 20th (Wed).

On our way to the Branson rally last year (or was it the year before...?), we stopped off for the night in northeastern Oklahoma at the Natural Falls State Park in West Siloam Springs. Great park - well spaced, tree covered sites (not condo-city!), with fire rings at each site. We had a pull through site with water & electric (30/50amp). They do have full hook-up sites available and an easy in-out dump station. The park has a very large playground area with slides, swings, tubes, and all the other things kids climb around on as well as a very clean restroom/shower area.
As I recall though, going into town wasn't just a hop, skip & a jump...
The falls were really great and the hiking was fun - you can really work up a sweat. This is a nice place, very well kept, pretty and easy to manuever in. We will be coming back. Kudos Oklahoma (we've actually found most Oklahoma state parks well taken care of)!

Bill,
It was last fall you went t0 Branson. Been hanging with your musicians too much lately I guess . We could make it about as far as Tulsa from here in St. Louis for a rally. Will keep tabs on this thread.

Very cool, Steve - love to see you guys again! Natural Fall is right up around Tulsa area... maybe a bit further (south)east.

That would be great to have a rally in OK, I am from there and my dad would love to join us.
How would one get a rally started, maybe I'll head it up.

Welcome to the forums!
First post and you want to start a rally, I like your style.
A very wise member once told me:
To start a rally:
Pick a date and a location then let everyone know.
If you rally, they will come...
