SOS ** Moraine Rally ** SOS
I don't know if anyone at Moraine has a satellite feed, but I am tossing this up hoping someone will see it...
We were packed, ready to leave, and our air conditioner went out. We had to call an electrician and ended up paying 351.00 and still need a new compressor. Jeez.
We will drive down tomorrow afternoon because we at least want to meet everyone.. but we won't have our trailer. Do we have to wrap ourselves in tin foil, since we're minus our aluminum???
Oh, POOR US.
I hope someone will have some suggestions about what to do about our AC and compressor.

If I may suggest; Use aluminum foil instead...The group might find tin foil to be in bad taste..`! lol
This may not be what you want to hear but, considering the age of your A/C (if original) you might be better off just replacing it..
The newer units are so much more efficent~
Have a safe trip~

Plus, since it will be more efficient - you could go to a larger BTU model, still with less of a strain on the remainder of the electrical system.
You might want to tow it to the rally anyway - a huge portion of the fun is looking at everyone else's rig.
Get a motel for the night.

I'd probably replace the whole thing, then try to use my old shroud over it.....
Hey, I was at the rally yesterday, in the morning....then again from 5-9pm! The crowd was building!
We'll be back there later today, too.
Everyone sure was nice enough, even though I didn't have my trailer there.
"Open trailers" will start at noon, then the pot luck will be at 6pm. I think we'll be there for those things. Otherwise, everyone is just mingling. I'm sure plenty of people will have good ideas about your a/c, too.
So....bring the aluminum foil, or maybe just strap a flamingo to your head (or your back, at least).
....and, for that matter, why not just bring the oven ....er, trailer,?
A couple of fans, maybe a dehumidifier...you'll be all set!

We were relieved to see you pull in your site and set up chairs, Flamingo, after missing you on Saturday. Jack C. had passed on the word about your AC dilemma so we stopped wondering about health and family. Not that a big wound in your AS isn't almost family!! Anyway, we were happy to meet you, sorry that you couldn't stay, and delighted that you were able to join in with the potluck! Your "almost" neighbors, Max and Georgia
