Hey Group, It's time to start planning to attend the Smoky Mountain Vintage Trailer Rally in Walland, TN.
The event will be the weekend after Mother's Day.
May 12-15th, 2011
Rally is sponsored by the owners of Misty River Camprground, Jimmy and Diane Felton.
Misty River Cabins & RV Resort is offering a reduced "Group Rate" fee of $32.00 + tax per site, each night to stay at the park with a two night, Friday and Saturday minimum. These sites are available on a first come first serve basis and must be reserved 30 DAYS before the event to get the reduced rate.
Schedule of Activities:
Thursday:
Early arrivals can set up and hang out with other vintage campers, No events are planned for this day.

Friday:
Start the morning off with a nice free hot cup of Joe by the pool at the BBQ stand. The rest of the vintage campers arrive today. This is a great day to walk around the park, get the low down on how to do some new things to your trailer, hang out with old and new friends, do a little sight seeing, shopping, hiking or just relax!

Saturday:
This is The Big Day! After having your morning coffee, everyone will get ready for the Big Open House and Swap Meet. This event is the best part of the whole rally. We will invite the public, vintage camper owners and those who want to be, the Press and everyone else to come on down and visit with us from 1:00pm till 3:00pm only!

We will also hold a swap meet at the same time, so you can all drag out all of those great collectibles and vintage trailer related items to sell at your site.

Pot luck dinner in the club house at 6pm.

Sunday:
It has been a great weekend but it is now time for us to start packing it in for the drive home.

This rally is for vintage campers of any make, motorhomes, new trailers, and square trailers. No matter if you have a vintage or not, you are welcome to attend this rally.

Had a message from a couple in east TN. They are planning to be at Misty River for the vintage rally. They will be bringing their 1963 Tradewinds. I look forward to seeing it.

What area is the rally in?

We will not be able to attend the Vintage Trailer Rally this time. It is scheduled the same weekend that my son is graduating from Pharmacy school in NC. I usually go around and take pictures of all of the participating trailers. I hope someone else will go prepared with a camera to take and post pictures. The Rally is located near Walland and Townsend in TN-known as the quiet side of the Smoky Mountains. I wish I could be two places at the same time!

Hi, I have a 34' 1983 Avion and need a replacement vent cover...I read in one of your notes that you have or had some...please let me know if you do.

There is a yahoo group devoted to Avion I suggest you join. There was just an extensive discussion on vent cover replacement. Someone just purchased a replacement from vintage trailer supply and says it worked well. You might also check with Chuck Cayo in Michigan for parts. His family started Avion.
