If they are the Forn*&^%$ ing ones then by all means - it might liven the area up a bit - but we don't get much wind in the forest so they might be dormant

Ask Andy if you can borrow his...

Steph, tell us about that iron and those cookies, look good. I used to make rosettes with dipping the preheated iron into the batter and dusting with powder sugar...I haven't made those in a long time. It seems we eat so many along the way of making them that it takes a long time to get a batch done.

Laura and Sharon you must be computing all day now. Good winter projects and Jamie studying for finals, in between making snow tunnels out of her house.

I put the coffee on, kahlua creme, if you would like some.

We have been gearing up to head South soon after Xmas. We'll be seeing Paula, Michelle and Georgia at the Can Opener. Wish you all our silver sisters were going too. Let's be sure and get that rally going for next year.

Hi sisters,
The photo is of a traditional Belgian cookie iron, I use a non stick pizzelle iron as they are easier to clean and much less expensive (see how I am )
--that photo is how the traditional cookies should look. They are made in Belgium on New Year's Eve to give a sweet and happy good luck year...

I'll be glad to pm anyone the recipe, just drop me a line. Every family has their own variation, and some use whiskey, I do not. I think a big flavor boost is using cultured butter. We found it locally at an organic food store, but its made in a Wisconsin dairy.

Jane, welcome to our fireside and what a great 'nog to share! I could put on pounds and pounds at Christmastide indulging in eggnog, and you even bring icecream to the blend! We've always added the Bourbon, but you enhance that with brandy and rum and vodka! Maybe this is a 'nog to die for I'm going to mix this up for our Christmas Day gathering Thanks, ~G

Hi Jane. That egg nog sounds guaranteed to put the spirit in the holiday. I love ice cream drinks too!

Laura hope you get a break soon. I bet it's really interesting talking to last minute shoppers. TMI comes to mind, LOL. You must be getting an earful about their plans.

All our snow is gone and looks more like spring or fall than winter. Wind is blowing up a storm. Makes me think of the song "If it doesn't snow on Christmas how is Santa gonna fly his sleigh?"

Here's a bit of nostalgia for all you buckeroos out there,

(Gene Autry)

Santa works all day in his workshop
Making lots of games and toys
Then one day, he hops in his sleigh
To bring them to the girls and boys
Santa's just as nice as he can be
There's just one little thing that worries me

If it doesn't snow on Christmas
How is Santa goin' to use his sleigh
In case of rain, will there be a train
That'll speed him on his way
If it doesn't snow on Christmas
How will Santa get around to us
If he breaks down on his way to town
Will they let him use a bus

I sent him a nice long letter
And I hope it's not in vain
I'd really feel much better
If I knew he could fly a plane

People say he has eight reindeer
For the sleigh he's driving here
But how'll he go, if it doesn't snow
On Christmas this year

If it doesn't snow on Christmas
How is Santa goin' to use his sleigh
In case of rain, will there be a train
That'll speed him on his way
If it doesn't snow on Christmas
How will Santa get around to us
If he breaks down on his way to town
Will they let him use a bus

I sent him a nice long letter
And I hope it's not in vain
I'd really feel much better
If I knew he could fly a plane

People say he has eight reindeer
For the sleigh he's driving here
But how'll he go, if it doesn't snow
On Christmas this year

Im glad, your the one that gave me the idea about posting this picture, however, I thought I would put a twist on it, bad spelling and it looking like it was written by a 5 year old just makes it perfect! I love this Christmas Card, I just wish I would have put it into production earlier!
