Paula you have captured the most beautiful flower pictures and wonderful pictures of raging waterfalls and their "rainbows" and pristine forest. I love the mountains. You saw so many beautiful places and your pictures are great! I liked all the animal pictures too, had to laugh at the goose walk picture. Crater Lake and the river pictures make me want to start traveling soon and go to more different places. A couple of my favorites are #52 with the bird on the fence and the mountain background is fabulous and the hay bales on the farm. I lost track of my favorites because each photo was better than the last! So you went from California to Jasper and Glacier? All that ice must have been a big difference from sunny California. Was it chilly there?
Oh...what's a saskatoon?
I think we have seen that merry-go-round in Montana? What is picture #137, the interesting ceiling? We too love the Yellowstone and Glacier Park areas and hopefully will move out towards there one day. Bear World looks very neat. We have not seen many bears up close like that. I would love to go through that park.
That was quite a trip! Do you travel that far often? It looks like you had a tremendous adventure with Steve and Cody, so many places and faces.
Thanks for sharing your trip with us. Your pictures are beautiful. Now I wanna goooooooo!

It was a fun trip for sure!!..lots of places in the USA we'd love to visit someday.
Saskatoon is Indian for a berry similar to the blueberry that grows on bushes on praire soil in Canada..it's also called a Juneberry ...at the Saskatoon gardens in DeWinton near Calgary, you can pick a bucket's worth for a fee or they'll pick for you and you pay a little bigger fee..
My favorite is the rainbow #90, the color is so intense, I just love it!! Cody is so adorable!! Glad you had such a nice trip, and that the boo boo on the trailer was easily taken care of!!
Thanks for sharing the photos!! For sure makes me want to get back out west again!!

Hi Carol, here's some answers to your questions:
favorites are #52 with the bird on the fence and the mountain background
That was a yellow headed blackbird (according to Steve)
So you went from California to ...
We went from CA to Oregon to Wasshington to British Columbia to
Calgary, DeWinton, Jasper and Banff in Alberta, then to
Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and Nevada
Glacier? All that ice must have been a big difference from sunny California. Was it chilly there?
Up in Columbia Icefield, it was indeed cold!
Glacier National Forest?
in Montana beautiful rugged mountains,
I think we have seen that merry-go-round in Montana?
Yes in the Capital Helena.
What is picture #137, the interesting ceiling?
That is the ceiling view as you climb up 164 steps to the top of the
Astoria Column Tower.
That was quite a trip! Do you travel that far often?
A bout 3 years ago, after Steve retired, we took the safari eastward through about 13 states (didn't have Cody yet) to Wisconsin.
Paula, I just enjoyed your slide show. Thanks for sharing your marvelous photography. When Max and I travel, we always have so many "I wonder..." moments that we laugh and say we need resident geology, biology, botany, etc, experts in the backseat to explain everything we are seeing. Now, I think we need you along to teach us photography as well! It's funny--without reading the others' posts about favorite snapshots in the album, I had taken notes as I was viewing, jotting down favorites. (How can I have favorites--they were ALL terrific!) I had listed, among others, # 52, the gaggle of girls heading down the roadway, and # 84, the rainbow. Mine matched up with some of the previous posts Thanks again, and Cody must make a great traveler. ~G

WDCU. . .MALs no longer! What's a few miles among Airstream friends?
the gaggle of girls heading down the roadway
I was actually about 4ft from getting pecked at by that gaggle..I almost fell down backwards! I had heard they can be really territorial and mean!..Cody was crate trained from the beginning in the back of our truck, so he rode well all through the trip..he sensed every single time we'd get into a campground, the minute Steve started backing up into our site..he wanted out!!!..he also wanted to get into the truck as soon as we started up the truck to head out to the next destination!!
OMG Paula, you are so right about geese. We used to have some, and they were not so nice more like a nasty gang ...plus they left little icky gifts all over the lawn not to mention abandoned eggs...

OK time to get the fire going. You may need to bring a light jacket or sweater this evening. I laid out the wood this afternoon and now that it is lit you have only to come on over and chat.
We've been driveway camping this weekend. And I am making a list of "camp"type things to try, like the iron and the bread with fruit or pizza fillings. I saw Steph made bread on the fire! I bet that was wonderful.
I do have some fresh coffee and a bit of sherry. Would you care for some?
Oh we bought a door guard from David Winick at vintagetrailering.com We haven't fastened it up yet but I shot a picture with it almost in place.
