OK Connie, now it's your turn. Please explain bananas w/ "flake". How are they prepared?

Also have you used the toaster irons? You can make lots of things with them. Pizza, eggs in toast, fruit pies ....... just about what ever you can think of.

wow... how pleased am I to return the favour..

you keep the banana in the skin and make one cut thru the skin and a little into the banana flesh.. slightly squeeze it to form a space... unwrap the flake shove it into the space shut the banana as best u can and put it on a rack over a cooler part of the fire to warm thru... the chocolate melts thru the banana as it goes soft...... very simple but yummy!!!
I guess any chocolate would do some folks use rum butter, cream, peanut butter etc but the priciples the same .... enjoy

you probably have a different name for a flake we have milk chocolate, dark chocholate and praline..... mostly used for sticking in the side of an ice cream cone which then magically becomes summat called a '99' !!

Unfortunately Flake is tough to find here. You'll probably need to find a local British store or have someone who's just visited the UK or Australia bring it back....maybe try online???

Chocolate bananas and shopping! YEA! Who's shopping today? I love seeing the little touches people put into their Airstreams.

Sharon has the cutest LadyBug accents that she has been collecting for her Airstream and others have been helping her out with their "finds" of appropriate matter that enhances her decor.

Have you added some treasures lately? Are you searching for something in particular?

G how was your trip out West? Any pictures?

Kind of a rainy day here in Michigan today. Temperatures have been falling recently though they are expected to climb again, but it is starting to feel like fall is just around the corner. Where did summer go all too fast?

Hi All,

We've gotten back from our trip through 9 states and logged in over 4, 300 miles.

This is what we came back to in our garden: 2 little baby pigeons that just hatched yesterday and today..the 'daddy' was very protective as you can tell, the babies stayed very close underneath his feathers. he takes turns with the 'mama' tending to them..they're about 2 inches big

What a great papa! I love seeing and learning about your pigeons Paula. I have seen several documentaries on penquins recently and the animal world is just amazing to me. We used to have a lot of mallard ducks and herons and various smaller birds where we used to live. It always interesting to watch their behaviors and watch them grow.

That was a long trip, have you posted your trip pictures yet, I would love to see them?
