Congratulations Nancy! How fun for you both!! Please keep us up to date on all the news about your trailer and camping experiences!!

I love Swiss Mocha Carol, mmm, thanks so much. Yes we have some snow but it melted off by noon. Hoping it gets warmer so Dave can get that wood floor down...

Hope Michelle made it out west safely for the women's rally. It was fun seeing her photos and hearing about the Keys!

Yes, I'll have a little of that Swiss Mocha. Gosh, does that ever take me back, over 20 years to when my oldest was just a little girl, just her and me, and I would spend a little extra at the grocery for the fancy International Coffee Swiss Mocha. Simple pleasures are the best. Thanks, Carol! You can load on the whipped cream too.

Nancy, I just started towing last year and I've only done a few short trips on my own. Once you get beyond the initial jitters, you'll be surprised to find how easy it is, like when you first learned to drive. Or, for me at least, like learning to drive a standard instead of an automatic transmission. I came to prefer the standard, but now all my vehicles are automatic and with convenient coffee cup holders.

Could someone please tell that guy with the snow machine it's time to stop now!?! We got 10" this weekend! I'm a little bit tired of tossing white stuff off the walkways.

Btw, a whole flock of robins showed up at the birdfeeders just as the snow started to fall, and they haven't yet left. That's a sign, isn't it?

spring?

Yes there are signs of spring, even here in Michigan where we got more snow this morning. My miniature Iris are in full bloom.

I'd stick a picture here if I knew how to do it.

Hope that works because I can see from your avatar the flowers are beautiful!

Hi girls -just jumpin in for a sec to say hello and that we are still alive - noone has pelted tomatoes at us YET - but we are now going to appeal to the Provincial(State) level.

We will prevail on this and we will get a little house built on our Waterfront lot for my parents - I just hope the time does not run out on them before we get this beaurocractic process completed.

It is amazing how false public opinion is consdered before fact and truth!@!!

Congrats Nancy on the new rolling digs.

Love the Iris - can not wait for spring - still have snow here and got another couple of centimeters today.

Carol love the avatar - at least someone out their is thinking outside the box

PS the Fridge is now landed at Stephs - LadyBugs first present!

MoonBeam is gone now too so LadyBug has moved over and into her spot and filling the shoes quite nicely in my mind anyway - but a long way to go!!

Sharon, glad your refrigerator landed, and that ladybug's shoes fit. Don't let those locals give you too much trouble and I hope you can get the house going soon. It's lovely that you can have your parents so near.

Speaking of mothers and daughters, my daughter sent me this story.

After creating Heaven and Earth,
God created Adam and Eve.
And the first thing he said was, "Don't"
"Don't what?" Adam replied.
"Don't eat the forbidden fruit." God said

"Forbidden fruit?
We have forbidden fruit?
Hey Eve...we have forbidden fruit!!!!"
"No way!" "Yes way!"

"Do not eat the fruit!" said God
"WHY"
"Because I am your Father
and I said not to!" God replied,
(wondering why He hadn't stopped
creation after the elephants)

A few minutes later,
God saw His children having an apple break
and He was ticked!
"Didn't I tell you not to eat the fruit?" God asked.
"Uh huh," Adam replied.
"Then why did you?" said the Father.
"I don't know," said Eve.
"She started it!" Adam said
"Did not" Did to" Did not"

Having had it with the two of them,
God's punishment was
that Adam and Eve should have
children of their own.
Thus the pattern was set
and it has never changed.

But there is reassurance in this story!
If you have persistently
and lovingly tried to give
your children wisdom and they haven't taken it
...don't be hard on yourself...
If God had trouble raising children,
what makes you think it would be a
piece of cake for you?

Things to think about

1. You spend the first two years of their life
teaching them to walk and talk.
Then you spend the next sixteen
telling them to sit down and shut up.

2. Grandchildren is God's reward
for not killing your own children.

3. Mothers of teens now know "why"
some animals eat their young.

4. Children never misquote you.
In fact, they usually repeat word for word
what you shouldn't have said.

5. The main reason for holding children's parties
is to remind yourself that there "are"
children more awful than your own.

6. We childproof our homes...
but they are still getting in!

Advice for the Day!

Be nice to your kids
They will choose
your nursing home...

and finally...

If you have a lot of tension
and you get headaches too
Do what the aspirin bottle says...

Take 2 aspirin and ...
Keep Away From Children

Carol, you consistently come up with good ones, but this is truly one of the best!
