Rally Calendar and Free Rally ads!

We have an enhanced rally calendar.

You can add an event to the calendar by clicking "Calendar" on the tool bar above. The Calendar is interactive and once a listing is set up, attendees can add their names to an attendance list (or remove them if plans change). This allows everyone to see who will be attending and should facilitate rally planning. When you start a new rally thread, be sure to set up a calendar listing and include a link to it in your thread. Anyone can post a rally and once posted, you can edit your calendar listing (in case your event changes.

The goal is to over time, to develop a centralized rally listing for ALL events; forum rallies, WBCCI, TCT and casual get-togethers. You can add next summers events now, including contact info, if desired, or even a downloadable registration form (if you have one).

Rally ads: We offer FREE rally ads for all rallies listed on the calendar. They rotate on the side bar of most pages and will substantially increase visibility for your event. We can design one for you or you can do it yourself. Contact any moderator for info about this.

Here are some suggested steps if you wish to include a linked image in the left border rotation on the portal page.

• Produce a high quality background graphic 4-6 times larger than the final 140 x 140 pixel size. This must be square and a multiple of 160 is suggested for a smooth reduction.
• Save a version of that graphic without text.
• You can have a version with text, but please save both versions. Preview a copy of the text version reduced to 140 x 140 size.
• And then contact Janet 4-7 days before you intend to enroll participants. I can serve as an alternate but will refer these projects to Janet if she is available.
• If you would like us to design a graphic for you, we will be happy to help - just ask.
• Post your event to the forum rally calendar here. Your rally ad will be linked to that posting and so it must be in place before the rally graphic goes up.

We'll be glad to work with you. Just give it the necessary time please.

Being I am a newbie I love it - I missed a couple of close rallies since I did not know where to look until it was too late to book. Great work.

Would it be possible if when posting to the Rally calendar the description start off with the state abbreviation that the Rally is being held in? Not that I wouldn't love to attend one in Montana but I would prefer to attend one in Maine or New Hampshire!

Does anyone know of an Airstream get together going on in Maine or NH this summer 2010?

I do like the rally calendar, but is there a feature that shows where rallies are? Perhaps a map of North America with a marker in each state "somewhat" relative to an upcoming rally location, then the state could be clicked on to see what rallies are there? How hard would that be to develop? I can image it, but I have only a vague "shadow-ie" idea of how to create it. I think it would be useful, but not sure if others would like or use it. Many rallies by name alone do not give an indication of where they are.

The calendar is wonderful! I would love to see a state-coding though. Perhaps something that just has a 'please start listing with the 2 letter state code' before placing listing?

Hint: Anyone want a vintage rally in Oregon before the real winter sets in? We are new to this and have never been to one, thus aren't prepared to organize one ourselves... yet!

Look at the rallies tab at the top of the page - there are links to the calendar and other pages as well.

Can't see the calendar either. Would be a great option. I pressed the rallies bar as you instructed. No link no calendar. Just lots of posts.

Works just fine for me. Select the "Rallies" tab sandwiched in between the "Classifieds" tab and the "More" tab right under the Air Forums banner.

The on the drop-down p menu that pops up, select "View on Calendar." The calendar comes right up, with lots of rallies shown.

I'm using Firefox as my browser on my laptop. It may not work the same way on the mobile AIR app.

I find it hard to find the calendar using my IPad and then when I look at July, the National rally is not even listed.
