Thumbs up Rallies for M - F working class in SoCal (results and photos)

Well the 'gettogether' is over and hopefully everyone got home. 4 trailers were there and I know that we had a good relaxing time. My wife determined that the desert was not such a bad place!

There are photos of the participants posted at: http://www.airstreamphotos.com/photo...at=503&thumb=1

Thanks go to Gary Norgan for hatching and nursing the idea.

Death Valley in February?

I am thinking (again.....not often enough, though) about the second week of February, somewhere around 8th through 16th. Long trip out/back but we've never been there.
Just a thought trolling for an idea. Maybe I need a frontal lobotomy?
Who said, "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me instead of a frontal lobotomy"?
(9th graders are driving me insane this time of year)

Will have to post my pics here sometime soon.

Later.

I remember sometime back in Oct. or Nov. about a trip planned sometime in Dec. with Andy doing some cooking. Did it happen? Any pictures to post? I do like the idea of weekend trips, keep me posted.

Yes, it did happen. 4 trailers. See the link in the first message for photos of the participants.

Hey Gary,
I think Death Valley in February would be awesome, but can't make it, darn!. We are talking about Joshua Tree for a weekend January 31-February 2.

We spent three days in Death Valley last month. It was awesome! Unfortunately Teri started a new job this week so we won't be able to get away for awhile. We stayed at Stovepipe Wells campground. No hookups, but water and flush toilets in bathrooms. Furnace Creek was full the week between Christmas and New Years. It looked really nice with lots of trees but it is next to the Visitor's Center so there was a little too much activity for me. There are too many sites to see in a weekend so we will return again sometime. I camped next to a couple who have been going there for 26 years and they still have not seen everything!
