Body Count

We will also try to make it Dec 13-15. I be darned if I miss Andy's grub.
One more check with the family's schedule, but it looks good on my side.
2 Adults, 2 kids. I don't care if it's paved or not. I'd appreciate a dump station or at least permission for grey water disposal. Black last us for a few days, grey tank is tiny.
Look forward!

Your desert trip sounds like great fun. Our son graduates from college that weekend, so that lets us out. I hope some of you post about the outing, and let us know if there will be a repeat.

Hi all: New to the list this week so just saw this thread. Definately put me on the list for upcoming trips to the desert. Will check my schedule for the dates in Nov and Dec. Off-payment is OK with me - have Landrover will travel. Will be going to the Vintage Airstream Rally next week in Santa Maria for a few days, but I really like the idea of weekend rallys since we usually can't get out of town until Friday.

Hi John. Your name has been added to my list. I'm wondering if everyone on the "list" would like to have the list?

Okay. Let's get to the business.

1) December is still on.

2) I am getting really tired of working so have decided to take an earlier trip out to Joshua Tree on the weekend of Veteran's Day.....that would be November 8 - 11. I have to play trumpet in the local orchestra Friday night the 8th so will be leaving for Joshua Tree Saturday morning.....early.

If anyone else is of the mind to join me, my wife, son (senior in HS) and daughter (junior in HS) on this weekend, we'd enjoy the company. Probably do some hiking, biking, astronomy, and eating (something my teens like to do often ).

Cottonwood campground, nearest south entrance, off the I-10 east of Palm Springs, just before you get to Chiriaco Summit (heading east, that is).

I will call the park to see if there will be space available at this late date.

We will leave for home sometime Monday. Should be a good weekend, with the weather being cool as it has the last few days..
Email me at gnorgan@pe.net with questions, etc.

Joshua Tree info

FYI, Cottonwood Campground is "first-come, first-camp" with no reservations. Soooooooooo......
If they are all full Saturday A.M. then we will camp outside the south entrance and park boundary. We've done this before just off the main road up to the park.

I would say an Avion from Phoenix would be most welcome. Why don't you send Gary Norgan an email and ask him to add you to the list.
See you in December.

Add my wife and I to the list of hopefuls. We'll check our schedule and see if we're able to make it. Andy's grub sounds terrific and it would be great to meet up with all of you.

Next Weekend at Joshua Tree

Lots of people are busy next weekend (Nov. 8-11) for the Vets Day. Looks like John/Katie Woodburn and my family will "get out of town" this time. If anyone decides to go and/or wants to go anywhere in the desert for any weekend in the future, send an email so I can send everyone an email. There are good places up in the Mojave Desert and north of Antelope Valley and out by Landers (earth quakes can "rock" you to sleep ) and north / near Lucerne Valley that are good. Also, out by Amboy Crater next to the mountains is good, too. And for an ocean trip, anyone tried Carlsbad? We've been meaning to do that one, too.
So the question is, where do you want to go? Do you want some company in the form of Airstream owners?

Question: How do you feel about everyone getting the list that I have been putting together?
Email me at gnorgan@pe.net and/or reply on this forum.
