Pennwood Joint Buddy Rally August 3-5, 2007

Pennwood Campground, Limestone, PA, home of The Pennsylvania Unit of the WBCCI hosted a joint buddy rally along with the Al-Mon-O unit from the Pittsburgh area on the first weekend in August.

As the attached pictures show, Pennwood was packed for the event and a good time was had by all including a dinner show featuring the music and Irish humor of Cahal Dunne.

You might notice a few units that are not Airstreams; the buddy designation allowed one to bring a friend regardless of what brand their RV might be. We brought our best friends who have a Class C.

Sounds good alvinator. Clarion is my dad's hometown. I've spent many a youthful vacation fishing the Clarion River, traipsing through town, hiking the surrounding area. I still remember the smell of the old ice houses! I'm going to stay at Pennwood ... some day.

Pennwood is great! We stayed there a few times on our way back and forth to Jackson Center. In true Airstream fashion, we were immediately welcomed into the group and invited to share in their pre-planned dinner.

Just about a year ago during my first trip towing anything, I neglected to raise the jack prior to leaving Pennwood. Needless to say, I dug a huge, deep, sweeping "S" all across that beautifully manicured lawn. I was absolutely mortified!!!

But the folks at Pennwood couldn't have been nicer about it. Again, in true Airstream fashion, they made us feel like part of the family.

I'll never forget their kindness and hospitality.
