Mystic fire

Hi Edie
I sure remember the fire !
The legend of the fire was told to me under the promise of silence by you know who.
I have since had a similar fire on two family camp-outs, and the results were hilarious. I don't know if the consumption of a few
adult beverages contributed to those results or not.
Looking forward to the rally..

Ok you've just about sold me on this rally idea, but I haven't convienced my Husband and Daughter. What can you tell me about it. and where do I sign up? Are reservations needed to get a camp site? We are very new to this.
In fact we purchased our A/S last March and have only been camping once, but we've been having a ball fixing it up. I think we got the inside finished next is the outside. Dosn't look like as much fun.

Last year we had a few of repair clinics, and a pot luck supper, an open house, a couple of mystic fires and made many new friends.

This year we hope to do these type of activities and even more.

We are still in the planning stages, we will update as soon as we have a handle on what we can offer this year.

If this years Mystic Springs Rally is anywhere close to the amount of fun we had last year, then be prepared that some but not all of the incredible benefits may include:
You leave the rally with a list of improvements, you didn't even know you needed.
The in-house pit crew will inspect your vehicle upon arrival with the greatest scrutiny and point out all defects that you wonder how you ever made it this far.
The interior design committee will quickly disapprove of any or all of your color and design choices.
Flaws of the exterior, like paint, clear cote or dents are only discussed behind the owner's back, usually with great concern and pity.

Not True

Peter, we never laughed at your remaining dents behind your back!

And as I remember, you were chief inspector. All suggestions were made in a friendly and helpful way. I think you'll admit that you really did have a good time, won't you?

Back in October I thought I would be leaving FL around the time of this rally, but like life, things change.

I do plan to stay here at least one night on my way out west.

I'm really interested to see if any other A/S will be there as I'm passing through.

John

p.s. Peter-nice jacket!

YEAH! Love that jacket.....We hope to see many more Airstreamers of every variety at this rally.
The park is private and secluded, but not too far from I-65 and I-85, Montgomery, Al as well as Pensacola,Fl , and also I-10.

It is close to the Pensacola Naval Air Museum, a very worthwhile side trip.

My only worry is what the committee will do to those of us who haven't yet repaired items found needing attention LAST YEAR! Oh well, other priorities have come up.....

As the time approaches, we will organize our pot-luck dinner, as well as the other activites. It would be great if someone brings a ladder able to get us on top of some of these rigs for on site maintenance, and inspection by those more experienced..

Also ideas for activites to keep the kids occupied would be welcomed.

Lets all hope the speed boat guy has found a new place to blow it out...

John, thanx for the note on the jacket. Alansd is the one who found two of these on ebay and I was lucky to grab the second one.
I am just a cheap copy-cat.
