Mid-Missouri Fall Boondock 2019
Back by popular demand, announcing the 8th annual Mid-Missouri Fall Boondock, October 17-20, 2019! This is a popular October Boondocking event for those who need a break and want to get back to nature and enjoy the fall colors of the Missouri woods. I have arranged for a special group permit from the Missouri Department of Conservation to camp adjacent to the 48 acre Rudolph Bennitt Lake in Rudolph Bennitt State Recreation Area. RBSRA is located 18 miles north of Columbia, MO. Take US Hwy 63 north to Hwy B, then 4.3 miles west on Route B to Hwy T. 1.4 miles south on Route T, then 1.7 miles west on County Rd. D229 (turn right at the cemetery). Follow the signs and turns to Rudolph Bennitt Lake and finally a left on CR 250 takes you down to the lake. Canoes, kayaks, and boats with electric motors are encouraged as the lake is beautiful this time of year, and the fishing (MO fishing permit required) has the potential to be entertaining. We will have a non-stop campfire with Dutch Oven sharing throughout the weekend and the official potluck on Saturday evening . There is a pit toilet on site but otherwise, be prepared to camp off the grid.

Hey gang,
Back in the day it used to be chili and hot dogs on Friday night. Now with this mammal meat allergy, I'll be making a pot of white chicken chili to share. Not quite the same with hot dogs, but I'll bring them too if anyone wants to roast one over the fire.
Looking forward to the weekend.

All: Charlie's Scentwork Trial in Colombia was fruitful...he qualified in the two elements that he needed to earn both the element titles (Exterior Novice and Buried Novice, as well as his overall AKC Scentwork Novice (SWN) title! He actually took 1st place in the Buried element finding and alerting on the scent in 8 seconds! That on top of the AKC Obedience (CD) title he earned on Friday on the the way to the Boondock made the extra work, stress and travel worthwhile! He's developing quite a pedigree for an "All-American Dog". Thanks again for your patience with him!
And thanks to all who attended...every boondock seems to top the last and this one was no exception! Great company, great food, and decent weather! Let's do it again next year!!!!
