Date: Sept 2-5, 2011
We camped trackside at the Lime Rock Historic Car Race in the beautiful northwestern part of CT this past Labor Day weekend and had a blast. We have signed up for trackside camping again for 2011.
It is boon dock camping - full water tanks required going in and generators are permitted during the usual hours.
For more info about the event experience here is a link to my blog report from our 2010 adventure...

As an fyi - we reserved site 12 again. For those who do not want to pay the premium for trackside camping, Lime Rock does offer free camping in a field situated further in from the track, parts of which are on a hillside. It's worth noting that camping in the free area is first come first served.
Here is a link to Lime Rock's sign up page. Look for trackside camping specifically. Price posted is for camping only. Weekend passes will have to be purchased separately.
