Homecoming in Ohio in 2006

or not. Well there is nothing like some cold weather and long dark nights to make me want to look to next year and do some planning. I see here
http://www.airforums.com/forum...ght=homecoming

that Homecoming won't be, but I see here that there will be a special homecoming announced
http://www.airstream.com/airstreamer...omecoming.html

sooo I thought maybe I would start a thread to see who said what to whom, or who has the real skinny

But really, I haven't heard anything about a '06 Homecoming. Dicky said it was going to happen at the '05, but he's not there anymore so who knows. I hope they have one, but I don't know if I'll be in a location that makes me going to it feaseable.

Airstream President, Larry Huttle spoke at the Region 11 Rally in late October and mentioned that there would not be a 2006 Homecoming. He said it would be back in 2007 though as a 'every-other-year' event.

Maybe things have changed since then, but I heard this first hand during his presentation at the rally...not a rumor mill.

Oh oh, doesn't the coast guard have a lot of hatches and port holes and what not?

But really, I haven't heard anything about a '06 Homecoming. Dicky said it was going to happen at the '05, but he's not there anymore so who knows. I hope they have one, but I don't know if I'll be in a location that makes me going to it feaseable.
Well, perhaps if you threw your weight around...

Wow, you must have been a real skinny to gain 35 pounds and still look so trim!

Thank you Shari. That's about as official as it can get. That's too bad. I made the first two, the second was even better than the first and it was going to be a definite in my book yearly.

So I appreciate your sharing that information. If it weren't for you I would be making my plans all around something that wasn't going to happen. Gee, they really should update the site.

Hey... let's do Homecoming at your place, you're free aren't you?!

From what I can tell from the referenced site, that is a kind of 'Rally Report' from 2005. It may have been prepared prior to the decision to not have it in 2006.

When I came out of Navy boot camp I had gained 10 pounds of good weight to be 165. I quit smoking January 25, 2005, and now I'm at 200. That's from my scale at home though. When I got weighed at my Coast Guard Physical, it said 194. Gonna lose a bunch really soon though.

homecoming 2006

Hi folks , we The Metro Detroit Unit of the WBCCI got a note from Jackson Center informing us that due to 75th anniversary activity that there would be no Homecoming held in 2006.

We were very disappointed to say the least, Having been a parking volunteer at both of the last two it was a highlight of our summer season. You meet the neatest people in an Airstream.

If and when the rally returns I highly recommend it to one an all.
