What?
Oh man, I even have my Bat Cave t-shirt packed. I was really looking forward to seeing your 59 Bat Cave express! Oh well. Why's you go and get grounded?
You are coming to our Pageant of Bands Rally though, right? People are bailing...hope someone comes. The last Forums rally I went to, only two people showed, me and Colin. Hope this isn't the same. SYDTR!
The weather is even looking good. It is a beautiful morning here in central NY. Packing on the truck as we speak.

A great Rally!
Well, we are back from two great days of Airstreaming. We had 8 trailers show, and the Celtic Festival was a blast too. For those of you who came, it was great either seeing you again or meeting you. Remember, June 1-4, it is our rally in central NY - the Pageant of Bands Rally, a WDCU WBCCI rally.
Swing Band on Friday from 6-9 after during a nice potluck dinner!

Two trailers from NH, two from the middle of the NY state, two from Long Island (alright Sam will tell you Brooklyn, but that's ON Long Island), and one just a stones throw from Canada in NY.
It was great to meet everyone and find out about all the trailers WE couldn't drive there. To those that had to cancel, feel real bad -- we had a blast! It was great to meet everyone. We had some fun around the campfire until all hours of the night.
I posted some photos here. If you folks want 800x1200's or even some of the originals just PM me with your email addresses and I'll get them to you.
Rob is ever the showman. There were only seven trailers, but look for the picture of Rob with the bell dancers in the photo album below:

Rob -- I'm reading about a captive Swing Band for your campsite -- I'm just not reading about a FIFTEEN MEMBER Swing Band. Help me out -- those numbers will help get me a pass from the warden!
By the way -- everyone I asked said they would definitely do this again. FREE camping and $8 admission fees are pretty tough to beat! I hope to see you all again next year! Maybe we've got another Vintage Rally brewing here... Of course everyone is welcome to come...

The weather for the most part was great. Friday and Friday night were upper 70's to mid-40's at night. Saturday started in the upper 40's and overcast and went to the high 70's. A front came through late afternoon that blackened the skies and showered for about an hour with nothing collecting on the ground and when it passed it dropped temperatures into the 30's. Nothing a campfire couldn't solve!

Celebration of Celts
Thanks Leo for organizing, if you could call it that. A very relaxing, laid back weekend and we had a great time. Always fun to see old friends and meet new ones.
I look forward to meeting here next year.

CofC gave us free parking/camping on the grounds each of the two years we went. It was a great event. Unfortunately CoC went out of business after just three runs. I'm sure that it is a major undertaking contacting all of these reenactment groups, bands (from all over the world), and getting them to commit to a small town in Upstate NY in early May.
Hat's off to the organizers and YES we're constantly looking for a great Irish/Celtic to replace CofC. Waking up to the sound of bagpipes off in the distance was fantastic!
We have a mid-to-late summer event for you -- AirPocono, our NASCAR Weekend Rally in Long Pond, PA -- check it out: AirPocono
Hopefully you're aware of AirSchuyler (next week). I know the organizer and could probably still get you in!
