feeling bounced!!
So . . .we were one of the unlucky 'nine' that coming down from Canada, booked our site early -only to receive notification that our site (site 11) was due for 2018 renovation! Undaunted, we couldn't find another site for Thursday but booked site 91 on Friday and Sunday nights. Saturday, we'll be 'tenting' like the good old days in site 7. Please put us down for a 'Ham Roast' Friday evening.
Looking forward to our first 'Can Opener'and meeting new friends.
Eddy and Lilian Lloyd, son Christopher. Dog: 'Guzzi'.

Hello Kingston!
Pete here from Lanark.
We are getting nailed with freezing rain and then snow to follow. Destin is looking pretty fine right about now! We plan to pull out of here around the 20th of December, arriving in Top Sail on the 29th for the N.Y.E. fun. Look us up at site 53 when you get settled in.
Safe Travels
Pete

. . . .for sure Pete! We will look you up.
We have only cold rain here at Kingston Mills Locks. Our plan is to pray for a weather window on or around Jan 1st and head south a.s.a.p. Safe travels to you also and have Happy (warmer) Christmas in Florida!

Making plans for post Canopener. Made reservations for 3 nights at Fort Pickens National Park Campground. The have been closed for the last few weeks while damage to the road and Campground from the last hurricane has been repaired. Plans are to open back up next week. Reminder, holders of Interagency Access Pass get free entry and 50% off camping fees.

A bit of good news for some.....a bit of aggravating news for others. Stopped by Topsail yesterday while giving my sister a windshield tour of our area. I spoke with the Ranger on duty, and it appears that the contractor that was supposed to do the renovation on the Canopener cancelled sites was redirected to South Florida for hurricane repairs. So, those cancelled sites are back in inventory. Sites 002-007, and 017 were available on Reserve America this AM.

Chief (the original), someone on Facebook mentioned the newly opened sites but not the reason. Thanks for the update.

I went to Reserve America and saw several sites available. 10 minutes ago. Unfortunately, they were for an RV of 20' (including the tow vehicle). If your Fiat is towing an A-liner, you're golden.
I called the park to clarify and she advised that a Airstream of 26' would not fit (site #17 said 25')
Maybe that's why Wandering Labs didn't notify me either.
There are 4 sites available, three are 20' one 25'.
019, 020, 021, 017
I don't give up easily, but this has been frustrating.
Looks like fun.
