New to air forums. Trying to register for 2018 canopener. I am logged on and filled out the the registration, pretty straight forward. However when I select submit the page just refreshes and no error message. My information is still at the bottom. Is it suppose to come back with an acknowledgment?

The refreshed page with your info is the only thing you will see. If you want to confirm it, exit the message and re-enter it. Your info should be there.

Just to be sure you know, you have to reserve a campsite separately. It has been reported that Topsail Hill Preserve is full and that one loop is closed for renovations. There are several other campgrounds and parks nearby.

Just seeing this post is making me sad. Sure wish I could join you again... It snowed on the mountains here in NV this morning. So now I miss FL for one more reason.... and new truck does not have heated seats.

I'll be looking for pictures and wishing you all loads of fun.

If you should have to cancel your reservation, or the park has cancelled your reservation due to the site renovations, please update your listing on the RSVP page. Also, if you have reservations, and haven't yet registered for the rally on the RSVP page, please do so. Below is a link to the RSVP page. To create a new listing, or edit your listing, scroll to the bottom of the page. Check your status and type in the box the pertinent information such as your site number, first names of the people in your party, and the dates you will be attending.

Our site number 2 has been canceled for January 4th and the 5th due too renovations on that loop. We've reserved 1010 bungalow for one night.
We will keep our trailer in the front parking lot.
Ranger Widow is the Topsail State Park customer specialist.
He has been a tremendous help.

Hello to all you Canopenians! We’ve all had a bit of a snooze time regarding the fast approaching Canopener 2018, but this is your WAKE UP CALL!

A quick recap of events thus far: 1) Canopener 2018 “official” dates are January 4-8

2)RSVP, if you currently have a reservation at Topsail OR any campground in the area then PLEASE ensure you have RSVPeed on this thread (RSVP link on page 1). You must be the ones to RSVP for yourself, just mentioning your attending on this thread does not an RSVP make If you don’t RSVP then you won’t get any cool and fun stuff, because who doesn’t want stuff?

3) The best, most awesome maps Ever are up to date thanks to thee best, most awesome map maker Ever – Florida 55(thanks Chuck!)

4) Lastly and sadly, Topsail has shut down campsites 1-21 throughout the entire winter of 2018. For those affected by this move I am sincerely sorry for this major inconvenience. But remember, the “silly season” of cancellations will soon be upon us, so there is still hope! Begin to pay very close attention to this thread and be prepared to act Very Quickly when a site opens up. Regarding cancellations: for those who will unfortunately have to cancel, PLEASE post a notice on this thread FIRST and allow one of your fellow Canopenians first shot at the site with RA.

The first very brief schedule of events (always, always remember that the Canopener schedule is like the Pirate Code……..it’s more of a guideline):
Thursday – music nite. Which means I’m officially calling on all you fabulous and talented musicians to pull together your sounds and voices and take the stage on Thursday evening. (Helloooooo you Not Ready For Primtime Airstream Band from 2017!)
Friday – Annual Cornhole Tournament, Chili Feed and……………………….. wait for it………….. the return of the always popular and much loved Maragaritaville Friday, whoop whoop.
Saturday – Breakfast with the ranger, Hike with the ranger, Airstream open house/trailer, and………. Yup, that’s right……………….. the return of Bloody Saturday!
Sunday – Coffee Bar (a new favorite!) and goodbyes.
