Along with my DW, "JudyJudy," I want to thank everyone at Canopener 2017 for collectively pulling off yet another wonderful Airstream rally experience. The time and effort put into these events each year is truly impressive; hats off to Annette for her coordination and leadership. We are still very new Airstreamers; Canopener 2016 was Day 2 of owning an AS. We are in love with the experience; who doesn't enjoy spending time around nice people with common interests? Judy said during this most recent Canopener, I woke her up in the middle of the night and said "I just love Airstreaming," then promptly fell back asleep. Out of the mouths of babes and sleeping persons...

Judy was happy to coordinate this year's Chili Dinner and has volunteered us to do that again next year; getting involved makes it even more fun and we got to know even more people in the process.

We want to extend our special thanks to our Canopener 2017 next door neighbors, Jim and Tim, for staying with us to offer support and cell phones during the five hours we were locked out of our Airstream! Great guys.

We have told our friends in the Razorback Unit (part of Reg 6) about Canopener; fellow unit members Terry and Paul Green attended the 2017 event and had a great time. We hope more of our unit members will sign up for 2018 as well.

We have already made our reservations for 2018, will be in site #140 Dec 27 - Jan 8. Hope to see the 2018 thread begin soon.

Safe travels to all and continued happy Airstreaming!

I also like the idea of a one week rally, even if it's unofficial. It gives us retirees time to relax before the partying begins!

You do realize— I hope— that you're posting on the thread for the previous Canopener rally. There is another thread for the 2018 Canopener that's coming up in two months.

Cats and ultraleather Airstream upholstery don't mix!
