Our AS is purported to have arrived today at Foley, so at least we will not be camping in the pickup bed at Canopener! Now will pick up Rose in Gulfport on Monday, Jan 4th, spend a couple of days getting the kinks worked out, and will arrive at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park on Wednesday, Jan 6th for our first real camp night with our AS! Very excited. Also will be interesting to see if even an F250 diesel can carry all the cooking stuff Judy has purchased. The girl does love to cook, and it has been said on occasion she is not without talent in that arena....

Hey! Congrats! We're also coming in on Wednesday. Make sure you stop by and say "Hi!" I'll be the loudmouth on the pedal buggy... The pretty one next to me will be Mrs. Red.

I signed up for cream cheese brownies under desserts and layered taco dip under other but didn't see dip added. Will still bring it, it goes with everything. Do you need cups, bowls plates, napkins or stuff like that? Rebecca J.

Last Chance for CanOpener Tenth Anniversary Custom Tees

Hello to all you CanOpenians!
If you haven't already responded to Karen Roberts' (karenjude) private message request for t-shirt sizes please do so by tomorrow (Friday, Dec 11th), as we need to submit the order prior to the weekend. So check those private messages, send in the sizes of those attending (up to two/trailor; if you want more than 2 they will be available for purchase also). If you didn't get a private message then just please send your sizes directly to Karen!
Thanks in advance for getting this done and look forward to seeing everyone in your custom CanOpener 10th Anniversary Edition long sleeve t-shirts at the CanOpener next month - should be all the rage of CanOpener high fashion - courtesy of our friends at Foley RV.

Annette

Thanks Rebecca for the brownies (yum) and the taco dip (delicious)!
Regarding plates, utensils, etc... we shouldn't be needing any as all participants are asked to bring their own plates, bowls, utensils, napkins and of course the beverage of their choice (adult or otherwise) to the potluck!!
And thanks for the post - it gave us the chance to remind people this is a BYOSTEW......................wait for it...............................no don't bring stew...........it's Bring Your Own Stuff To Eat With

We will definitely look you guys up on Wednesday. Note that will have been our first trip pulling the AS, so we may be the very frazzled looking couple...
Does your pedal buggy have drink holders?

Question here: does anybody live near Topsail or close to the interstate ? We might need to park our 34ft airstream for 2 weeks max after the can opener in a safe location. .. Please PM me.

It all sounds so wonderful. I can't wait. Please ever one keep praying the weather holds out for anyone that may get snow. I would love for it to snow after ever one gets home safe. This is the first time pulling a 34ft that far from home, and snow would be a big deal for us. So please keep the warm weather coming. And Merry Christmas to all.

Annette - Far be it from me to deny a request from the Chief Party Planner. DH says fine, we will be glad to add ours to the open house. Just know we will not have had any opportunity to decorate yet.

There is a mini-storage complex with RV storage in Defuniak Springs on Highway 331 less than mile south of I-10. This is the closest interstate exit to Topsail. I think the place is called All American.
