Well rather than going out and getting breakfast I tried out my new DO table instead. As any first try DO recipe, the next one will be even better

How ever did you do this? This is one of the best maps I've seen. It makes for a very nice visual.

Thank you for the compliment on the map. Here's how it was created.

I scanned the park map to create a base layer in iDraw. I then added the event title and legend to the scanned base layer.

Next I created a second layer for the list of attendees which covered the park information on bottom part of the map. This park data I covered up with the list wasn't needed for the rally map. Finally I created a third layer on which I place the trailers. The trailers were taken from a white "universal" trailer symbol used for signs and then were color corrected. Silver for Airstream and black for SOB.

Now that the layers are set up, when something changes I can modify the attendee list in one layer and make the appropriate trailer adjustments in another layer. I then save the image to a JPG file and upload to Airforums.

I made a similar map for the upcoming Canopener 2015 rally except I created the base layer of the campground map in iDraw instead of scanning the actual campground map for the base layer. You can see the Canopener map in the Canopener 2015 thread on Airforums.

Once the maps are set up for an event, they can be quickly updated when new information is received. For future rallies at the same location, the trailer layer can be cleared and depopulated as can the attendee list.

If you have a Mac, iDraw is an inexpensive and powerful vector drawing tool. Like all illustration and CAD software there is a learning curve. The documentation for the software doesn't fully communicate its capability. However if you take the time to go through the tutorial you can easily accomplish projects like this with the investment of a few hours. I use iDraw in my shop for woodworking projects and I'm starting to work with it for logo creation and some advertising work.

At $24.99 at the Apple App Store iDraw is well worth the price as it has the capabilities of software several times the price.

Gary that looks wonderful. Both the table and the breakfast. I will bring the charcoal (yours of course) and you can cook fore me anytime. I am ready to head out as well. Wish I could get some time off.

Craig at VA Highland Haven was next to us and christened a Lodge table while we were there. That did it. We did cook an egg bake for community breakfast in a cast iron skillet in the box oven. All gone.

Really nice place and group of Streamers at VA H H too.

We had a clan from OH and Linda's brother and wife from CO visit the matriarch.

We fed 'em smoked Boston Butt, egg bake in the DO, our effort at chicken bog. and just about wore out a borrowed corn hole board set. Some actually had to look that one up and oh yeah, a 60' X 10' slip and slide and our fire wood pile contributed too.
