Thank you all my good friends
It has indeed been a great day. It started at 6:30 this morning with a phone call from Terry M, wishing me a happy b day. Then at 8:30 a call from Cheryl (Phil and Sue) singing happy birthday to me. Thank you Cheryl.
All day long emails and posts from my many friends....thank you all for the love.
Then a timely but unbeknownist to them card in the mail from Gregg and Bonnie in Rhode Island. Hey you guys, I was already thinking about you today as I sipped the wonderful single malt you gave me at the rally. Trust me, it is good.
So, at the end of the day on my 60th birthday, I count myself blessed to have so many good friends that are like family. A toast, then, to us all, that we may share many more good times together. Love you all.
John

Fall 2014 Alumalina Map Update April 13, 2014
A check of the park reservation site this morning shows 14 sites still available for the weekend of September 26-29.
The last list of attendees (post #51 of this thread) shows Jack B in site 39. The park reservation system this morning shows site 39 available. I left Jack on the map but if he thinks he has a reservation he should check with the park.
Here's a link to the campground map reflecting the site information I have as of this morning:

We had a wonderful time at the rally. About 20 of us got together for a fish dinner on Sunday night. Thanks for the fish. We loved Wateree so much we stayed until Thursday.

Alumalina friends
I have to let you know, my Dad, John Sr. is in the hospital. He has a blood infection, diabetes that is higher than before, and ruptured/bulging discs in his back. Tuesday night He could not stand up, shooting pain in the groin, from the knee up. After 6 hours in the ER they kept him overnight. He has ben run through the tests and may be out another 2 weeks. All the while I have a Mom at home with Parkinsons and a home health aid. Just keep us in your thoughts, thanks John

Newbies looking forward to our second rally ever!
Al and Missy in Site 59 arriving Thursday and leaving Monday.
We got our 2001 Safari 25 in February. So far we have done a two-night shakedown 20 miles from home at Sebastian Inlet, FL. We have our first rally the end of May, and this will be our second, probably on the way to NC for 2-3 weeks. Looking forward to meeting everyone!
Al

We have not met, but know our thoughts are with you. Best wishes for a speedy return for your Dad. Hope to meet you if you can make it, or at another rally somewhere.

Al and Missy,
Glad you can and chose to attend. I think you'll enjoy the good times with the Possum Gang.

Sandlapper, I'll keep my eyes open on the way up for anything fresh.
Might be land crab season in FL.
