Congrats, Barry. And you told us to hold out until they get the bugs worked out. Guess you and Glenn are the guinea pigs. :-)

Twobikes, enjoy Jonesboro. We attended the story telling festival many times when we lived in East Tennessee. Good memories.

While we adored seeing our son (and hadn't seen him in months), we truly missed Alumalina. Chuck, great job on the video! John, the event simply wouldn't happen without your great efforts; thanks even in our absence.

And Stan the Man - on the 88's again? Ooh la la! And Rebecca on the violin. Well, if that violin playing doesn't pull at your heart strings I don't know what would. Great job to both of you!

I believe we are already signed up for the March event - see you all soon - somewhere!

Lisa,

Your photos are great. They put mine to shame. I should have waited for yours to put together the video. Maybe Santa will bring me a better small camera!

We are home, sort of.....

We made it safely to Fleetwood, NC where we will be until time to leave for Falluminum, and Slinky Dog is in storage in West Jefferson at Greenfield Campground. The only hitch was pulling the 8 mile 6% grade up to the Blue Ridge Parkway on US-421. The truck overheated and we had to pull over and cool off a mile from the top. Making metallic noises that I'm guessing were spot water boiling in the head or fuel detonations. Cylinder head, oil, and transmission all right at 230 degrees. Oddly enough the dashboard water temperature gauge hardly moved. I think there must be a bad sensor. Either that or the engine cooling passages are badly calcified. There may be a 3/4T TV in our future!

We had a great time! We enjoyed meeting you all and putting faces to all the handles on the forum. We will unfortunately miss the Spring rally due to a wedding (I know, where are our priorities?) but hope to see everyone at Falluminum or Alumalina in the fall of 2015.

We planned to leave on Wednesday afternoon and spend the night at Fort Clinch State Park in Fernandina Beach, but our preparations and my repairs were slowed by the continual rain in central Florida. We finally left on Thursday around noon and got to Lake Wateree about 10PM.

Wow, folks! Lots of great pictures!

But for.....who is that stupurous-looking woman in my shirt. I am so not photogenic.

It was a really, really good time, wasn't it. What a great group of people.
