Wow, it's shaping up to be a great rally! Welcome back Mount'n Man, so glad you are back and will make the rally!

Ttbikes, great to hear you'll make it this year again! Bringing your friends along will be fine for sure, I figure the more the merrier and hopefully we'll be able to convince your friends to go silver ASAP!

Everyone, I know that we are still lacking a schedule of sorts and I will get on that as soon as I get home and settled, we are returning today from the balloon fiesta and it's been busy.

Hey Everyone,

We have a trip planned out west for November & will not be able to make it. Will miss you all & know you will have a good time.

We are seriously considering hanging it up. Maybe getting too old (80's) and will probably put our 2009 23FB Flying Cloud on the market soon. It's equipped - sheets, blankets, pots & pans - ready to roll - stored inside & clean. Might even throw in one of my Dutch Ovens! Needs new batteries, which we will replace. If any of you are interested or know someone who is let us know

OH NOOOOO!

The fall rally just won't be the same without you guys! And you're never too old to 'Stream--just sayin'...My non-trailer friends think we're all a bunch of hippies anyway! So many miles yet to travel and way too many Dutch oven dishes yet to make! Have a good (and safe) trip out west and we'll see you in the spring!

Hi friends,

Hope you all enjoy your October so far, we sure had some beautiful weather here in the Flint Hills and it finally, finally cooled down a little. It is starting to look and smell like Fall out there and our rally in Branson is just around the corner. Here finally, as promised, is the schedule for our event, subject to adjustments and change if needed.

Halloween is a great time to get your Airstream decorations on, so let’s get spooky and show em’ what we’ve got! Dress-up is of course encouraged (after all, it's Halloween), but entirely voluntary, no pressure. If any of you have some good suggestions for activities or have ideas for items you’d like to share/contribute, please let me know. If any of you have a projector to stream some movies, let’s hear it. I will bring a propane fire pit and music, this way we can all have some warmth and background entertainment.

AIRMidwest Fall/Halloween Rally - Fall 2015

Schedule of Events:

Friday, October 30th, 2015:

ARRIVAL at Acorn Acres in Branson

6:30 Meet’n Greet – Please bring an appetizer to share and your favorite beverage and join us in a friendly get-together where we can visit, meet, and greet old and new friends!

Saturday, October 31st, 2015: H A L L O W E E N

10 AM - Craft Hour

Our friend Derald (INDY) is planning on hosting a craft hour (or two), this is always a lot of fun and Derald always comes up with something really neat. This event is definitely one of favorites and I highly recommend it! Details on the crafts will be announced during the Friday meet’n greet.

6 PM - POTLUCK!

Please bring a favorite dish to share (or more if you feel like it…), don’t forget to also bring your own silverware/plates and beverages of choice as well…
We will have a drawing for some amazing (!!) door prizes and the plan is to sit together by a campfire and enjoy each others company. As darkness descends we will have candy on hand and also the opportunity to go trick-or-treating for the kids or kids-at-heart among us.

Hi Sam and Gigi,

I am sad that you can't make it to the rally, but I am sure that you will have a good time going on your trip West, we will miss you though!
So sad to hear that you are thinking of hanging up your Airstreaming habit, I am hoping you will get perhaps another few years out of it? I do understand though, there is a lot of effort involved with camping/Rving, even in an Airstream. Hope to see you in the Spring though and get to sample some of your wicked good cast iron cookery once more.

Aww Kelvin, don't rain on our parade!

The forecast has changed and reflects now sunny skies, some clouds, but only 20% chance of rain. However, even if it did rain, we would have a great time and would still be able to do our activities, the party shelter is covered!

Weather.com forecast is back to 60% chance of rain for Saturday and Sunday. Maybe it will improve.

Ok everyone, only one more week!!

I wanted to start a roll call in terms of our cocktail hour Friday and potluck dinner Saturday, if you could shout out what you may plan on bringing to each, just to get ideas!

I'll bring pigs in blankets and a warm dip with bread on Friday and plan on having cocktail meatballs and homemade baguettes for Saturday.

Ok, go!

Buddha, If you are baking bread in your airstream on Saturday, I sure would like to observe/learn some of the steps. I just bought a Craftsy course on bread making but haven't actually made any bread yet. - Ed

We plan to bring deviled eggs for Friday and Mexican Stew for Saturday night. I'm embarassed to admit this but weather *could* make us wimp out - I'll keep you guys posted.
