Power at Albuquerque Balloon Festival

Hi Everyone,

I'm already signed up for the festival but I have my doubts that the Batteries will hold up for 5 days.
Need your opinions, Do you think it may be possible to borrow a generator for a couple hours on Sunday afternoon in order to recharge the batteries or..........do I need to purchase a generator.

Many have generators - but use them I - would not count on being able to borrow one - you could bring extra batteries - or use the ones you have sparingly - we use only lights and have no trouble with battery juice - then again there is so much going on you won't be spending a whole lot of time in your trailer :-)

Thanks for your reply Ken.

I totally agree, There are ways to get through the 5 days but ...... don't count on someone loaning me their generator.

It should be a great challenge. hummm........lights only

ABQ Fiesta First Timer

Hello all,
I hope that this is the right place to post this....I will be attending the Fiesta for the first time in my new 30 ft. Airstream FC. Any advice on the type of things I should have for the trip? We already have a generator, all comforts of home inside, chairs, table etc. for outside, but can't help but feel that maybe I'm forgetting something. Any thoughts? or advise because of the cool nights?
or even navigating the events?
Thanks in advance for your opinions! getting really excited now that it's finally getting closer

Hi from AZ. . . adult beverages are very popular, we usually bring enough of our local favorites to share (hint, hint) It's our 2nd & a good time. We try to bring food/dishes to share with others we get together with new friends through the weekend. We also slip off to Sata Fe for one or two of their excellent restaurants. And putyourorum name in your front window so we/al can find you. And introduce yourselves to EVERYBODY. . . see you tre ?. . . regards, Craig

Looking to trade Convection Microwave for Oven

Hello all,

We are looking to trade the Convention Microwave from our 2005 Safari for a regular propane oven. The Convection Microwave is in excellent shape with very little use. Seeking a newer oven in similar condition. We live in Taos / Albuquerque and will not be attending the rally with our AS but we can be available to make a trade if anyone is interested.

Thank you,

Rich

Deanna - sounds to me like you are pretty set - weather can be hot or it can be cold - I remember years ago a dusting of snow - bring lots of film - as far as Navigation we will cover that Friday evening - hopefully you received the email regarding a typical day at Balloon Fiesta which explains a lot

Deanna, it's my first time around as well, we'll be attending in our 28ft Serenity #2224. Sounds to me as if you have a good grip on what you will need, I would add to bring sufficient cash, extra gasoline for the gennies and I also will grab one or two Aquatainers with fresh water in it. I will also bring my propane campfire and hope to gather with list of new friends around it!

See you there,

Dunja

Bring a warm jacket, a hat and gloves. It's chilly out there for the Dawn Launch.

Great tip, thank you! I was trying to pack smart for the kids and us, so a few fleece items will be packed.
