We look forward to meeting you!! Just bring whatever you want. There is no protocol. Trust me, groceries do not go to waste with this crew.Glad you are coming. Travel safe.

Thanks! I think I will make a pineapple pecan cake for Saturday. That's my husband's birthday, and it's his favorite cake. He's looking forward to spending his birthday anywhere but Houston

Forgot to mention, we won't arrive until Friday afternoon. Husband has to work Thursday. And couldn't figure out how to get our name on the "attending" list.

I'm planning to make a spinach/strawberry/avocado salad with poppyseed dressing. Jim will do something in the DO for Saturday.

Social hour usually starts around 4:30, and we'll plan on serving dinner around 6:30, depending on how many wineries the hostess has visited!! (Just kidding). Appetizers welcome as well.

I guess we will bring Napa salad for Friday night. Have not figured out Sat. yet. Probably an appetizer. Maybe roast Yak and swamp beads.

My boss says we'll make some peperoncini roast for Sat. Night.

Don't know much about that. Got the recipe in Topeka, KS. I have an Austin address, but I am actually in Driftwood. More rural than anything else. Don't have turkeys though. I do have chickens...

Sounds like me. I refuse to say I am from Austin since my taxes and the neighbor's kids all go to Dripping and I do all my business in Dripping. Technically, I am in the Dripping Springs ETJ.

I'm here and parked. Beautiful weather except for the gusty wind. The ProPride paid for itself again coming out here. The clerk asked me how I did with the winds and I said "What wind?" The combined rig is less wind sensitive than the truck by itself.

Well, I'm finishing up my contributions for the dinners. I did make a big bow tie pasta salad and some homemade roasted red pepper hummus to go with a big container of pretzels. Also made my pineapple/pecan cake with cream cheese frosting. All are chilling in the fridge until tomorrow morning. Since this is our first rally, I'd at least like to at least make a passable first impression with my cooking, but aren't those the times when a person usually screws up the worst? At any rate, we hope to depart NW Harris County at about eleven tomorrow morning. Really looking forward to meeting everyone! Safe journey to all!

Our kids all went to Dripping. All are out on their own now. We are officially in Driftwood. Both buildings plus us and everything in between I guess.

Had a great time!

Just wanted to say "thanks" again to our generous hosts and to all who helped make our "maiden voyage" with our A/S and our first rally a wonderful experience that's left us with some great memories. It was a pleasure meeting you all and we hope to see many/all of you again sometime soon.
